The spanner in the works is that Sarah was in the house then.

Was she? That is the big mystery!
Sarah could have been anywhere that night. Crashing at a friend's place, overnight babysitting, whatever. No need to be home every night when you are 21 and bringing in your own money.

I think Karen was murdered the night before and disposed (sorry) of next day. IMO

A person posted on one of the Karen pages saying SR saw her mother in the morning - this person claims to know a family member - who knows if it's true or not with everything that's happening.

Has that ever been confirmed? Sarah has never publicly stated when she last saw her mum, to my knowledge.

I am under the impression she wasn't there ? Could have been though but not much I can find to back her up being there night or morning ?

Wouldn't that be a bit risky on the off chance that Sarah did come home (if she wasn't already home)?

I can't access the herald Sun but this below went up last night so not sure of the full retraction.

'1 day ago - A PAGE 2 story in yesterday's Herald Sun incorrectly reported that missing Melbourne woman Karen Ristevski discussed borrowing money from her father to pay

Risky yes but a murder in general is risky !!

Thankyou, that seems to clear that comment up then.

I agree.
I may be wrong but I thought murderers generally try to distance themselves from the victim's body really quickly, hence some of the really shoddy attempts to conceal bodies fairly close to the killers' homes.

To be honest, I don't think either BR or PG would have said anything like that. PG would be well aware her sisters husband/brother had passed as would BR.

I think it may be an error by the writer.

Be a boring world if we all agreed on everything, hey. :)

I see it more as an explanation from the aunt about another aspect of why she thinks that Karen was 'discarded like a piece of rubbish'.
Because everyone would have already known that Karen's father was already deceased, and police would have known that in a heartbeat.
That's why I can't see him having said it. I don't know why either of them would have said 'father'.

If the writer had said Karen was going to borrow money from her father's estate or a managed trust he had set up for her in his will, I wouldn't have a problem with that. I shouldn't have said 'including PG' in my original reply to you, SA. It was a typo. I meant 'excluding PG', ie, BR had told members of his family that Karen had spoken about borrowing money from her father in the weeks before she disappeared.

btw I abhore factual errors in MSM. They are happening with increasing frequency since sub-editors have been retrenched. So much so that an article reporting on a Victorian trial and subsequently republished in a NSW newspaper by a junior journalist (which contained an 'unpixellated' photo) was ruled by the judge as being prejudicial to the defence.

Seems everyday now since the last week, feels like a drip feeding information.
2 months yesterday.

So when did she hear her mum go ballistic? Oh boy, I'm as confused as a person can get!

I agree, wouldn't police have had all of this info pretty early on ? Is the timing strategic ?

Maybe that's what Borce had told her. "Where's mum" "oh she went ballistic during an argument and stormed off ???

Karen's father is deceased so how could she borrow money from him? Also, she doesn't have a stepfather.

The statement was attributed to BR, who is a POI in Karen's suspected murder.

Hi Bo, apologies. I thought I deleted my comment. I realised I had misread something. Must brush up on my tech skills! :shame:

Thanks everyone 🤬🤬🤬

Geez, isn't it enough we have members of BR's family telling tall tales, without MSM following suit?

Maybe. Then she should have said "dad said she went ballistic", just my thinking if she wasn't there.

Like, BR passing the body out AR's side? Pass the blame?
