Has it been confirmed that karen regularly traveled overseas? I remember talk of "monthly trips to Singapore"?

From memory I believe it was to China and USA.

Does anybody here agree with AR that Karen "is not missing she is a smart woman who is somewhere in the sun probably doesn't even know anything about this missing persons drama " ?!? If this was really the case I don't think BR would be scrambling for an alibi unless of course he was dropping her off at the airport...you know the one...just up the Calder...Jeez.

Unfortunately, I think Karen is not somewhere in the sun, oblivious to the missing persons drama. :(

(PS: kudos to AR for incorporating a full stop in his recent post! Next time we'll hope it's not in the middle of a sentence ;) )

Like you said eucalyptuz. I think if BR and KR where heading to the airport they would need to jump on the Western Ring Road (M80) and then the Tullamarine Freeway (M2) from their house. Not the Calder.

Pings from Gisborne and Diggers wouldn't make sense? However, could the towers reach this far for a ping? Probably?

Yes, the brother in law said Hong Kong and America (almost the same thing lol ... as Hong Kong is part of China now, but I think it could have meant South America, due to the origins of the clothing label she carries in her store).

That is not such a surprise. As the clothing label is made in South America, according to the info on the VaVaVoom website. So if she wanted to personally view the items and feel the quality etc, overseas would be the place to go to place her orders. (Although, I believe it would be a seasonal trip as opposed to monthly ... but who knows?) And perhaps she bought other stock in Hong Kong.

"Mrs Ristevski’s brother-in-law, Vasko Ristevski, told the Herald Sun the missing woman travelled to Hong Kong and America every month for the last decade on business, and he believes she may have got a fake passport and fled the country."

In the rag trade that would be nothing unusual, maybe monthly would be though, business must have been booming if monthly trips were the norm !

I tend to think he embellished on the frequency. To prove his point that nipping overseas for a big hide-out would be so easy for Karen.

"The police search for Karen remains firmly focused on Victoria, with no evidence the missing mother had left the state or travelled overseas."

A friend of Sarah's posted about Karen using the qantas lounge and travelling to LA frequently, sometimes several times a month.

I don't think Sarah was involved or had been told in the aftermath, my memory of the 3AW clip was she sounded suitably concerned but not yet distraught. She was actively searching and acting appropriately - using her mother's FB, getting on the radio, etc. Perhaps the car trip was news to her as well and a terrible shock. She may still be protective of her Dad even thinking he has done it, because of what she knows of the relationship dynamic, that it was an aberration. Borce should take that burden off her and confess. She will be dragged into living his lie and living under scrutiny and waiting for the hammer to fall. He can get this over and done with - what do you bloody get for an unplanned homicide anyway? Our murder sentences are a joke.

“However, courts often do make allowance for the fact that a murder committed on the spur of the moment, in a domestic environment, as a consequence of a volatile mixture of emotions, may attract a lesser sentence.”

The state's highest court has questioned if judges are failing to adequately sentence people who murder their partners.

Borce could do his time and be out in ample time to be an active grandfather to Sarah's potential children. What does he have out here anyway? Debt and failure and his daughter who he has done this terrible thing to. He can confess and let Sarah have her inheritance from her mother and get on with her adult life without the horror of all this looming.

I see that VaVaVoom has a big LA showroom. Perhaps that is where Karen went to purchase her product line.
It would make business sense for VaVaVoom to be making the clothes in South America, due to cheaper labour, and to be providing a showroom in a major US city for maximum exposure and ease-of-purchase for buyers.

Why would KR need to be going to USA and China so frequently on business? Couldn't you do your purchasing online in this day and age, receive fabric samples in mail, video conferencing, etc ..... can someone enlighten?

Whoops, it looks like this question was pretty much answered by Hbayne and SouthAussie a few posts back, got behind in my reading[emoji849]

I don't think she would have to, I knew a purchasing officer for a major department chain and they only travelled o/s a few times a year. Massive scale compared to two retail shops.

Thanks Ozazure, then I am highly suspicious of all this alleged business travel[emoji848]

What if the 'business' she is travelling for is nothing to do with clothing. Didn't AR say that all is not as it seemed.
What if KR was travelling as an escort or similar ?

Thanks Ozazure and I agree. Having worked in retail fashion for a while, buyers don't traipse off overseas every month or so to sample and purchase new stock. It's usually done well in advance of a new season. I can remember it was like Christmas for the buyers I worked with when the new stock arrived. They were so excited because they couldn't remember everything they'd ordered months before.

Considering the financial strain that KR and BR were under, it would be a backward step to be forking out money for airfares, accommodation etc. Yes it is tax deductible but the money still has to be outlayed first. And why wasn't she buying goods manufactured in Australia? Just saying. :innocent:

Looks like someones not happy with comments directed mainly about AR and one at BR. They have requested the Karen ristevski discussion page to be removed for Slandering.

Great line of enquiry.

My thoughts are that SR holds the key with her movements on the night before, if she was working then went out then that would give BR the opportunity he needed. I think the drive that morning was to get rid of any evidence not done so the previous night in all the excitement. I reckon there might be evidence planted all along that road concealed as stops to check his car.

Can you point us in the direction to see this ?

That's the very reason we stick with MSM items and links.

Its been a while since something new has been released, maybe there is a couple of laws suits in progress. Good luck! 🙈

Thanks SA....Hong Kong in the 80's and 90's was prolific for the rag trade.....after 1996 HKG went back to the Peoples Republic of China the rag trade I believe in my opinion went back to mainland China in particular Shenzhen. So in the last decade it would have been mainland China and not HKG. When I went to the boutique last month I remember seeing the label Va Va Voom and didn't take it any further. So the clothing label was made in South America ? Not sure what to make of that?
