Found Deceased Australia - Karen Ristevski, 47, Melbourne, Vic, 29 June 2016 - #6

Oh my... I was very near there on the weekend riding my horse.... I ride up Scout Camp Rd to Bawden Rd each Saturday. Its very hilly and tough going - but lots of tracks and dirt roads. Also lots of walking groups - on a regular basis. Came across 3 walkers and 2 4 x 4 drivers on Saturday. Usually see someone.
Loch Rd is Def dirt / gravel and Salisbury is the same with a bit of blue stone further on.
Its not an easy section - and starts to be very hilly. I have ridden this section a huge amount of times. I even once drove there with the float on to find the home of a stray dog. It was a bit rough driving.
There are tracks all over the mountain - and lots of under growth and fallen trees - google map image is pretty old - its a bit thicker up there now.
I can not believe this is happening in my stomping ground!
There are several ways out of that section which a normal car could do - but its got a lot of ruts and pretty tricky

Just listening to radio update where they're saying there's growing speculation that the remains are those of missing mum Karen Ristevski.

Gosh - I was about 200 mtres away...
We occasionally smell things out there - but usually a dead roo or wombat

If it is Karen, hope they have someone keeping an eye on BR incase he decides to do a runner or self harm.
Would love to see his composure right about now and how he could face his daughter.

Some early reports indicated that the human remains were that of a woman but police could not confirm the sex of the dead person

Good point, self-harm is a real concern. I wonder what they can do though aside from keeping an eye from a distance. Last time they were searching in blackhill rd there was media in oakley dr so there may be some footage tonight.

Unless he has lied about the outfit she was last in, chances are they'd have a reasonable idea by now just from that. Not enough to confirm publicly obviously. The person who found Allison Baden-Clay recognised her from the clothes on the police mannequin.

It can't be self harm because Ol' Borce's had her car. She didn't have a car & surely she didn't walk there.

Someone put her there and drove out and that someone is going down.

Eight months would do it. Allison Baden-Clay's cause of death couldn't be determined after a couple of weeks.

The body has been discovered near the search area for missing Melbourne mother Karen Ristevski, who vanished nearly eight months ago.

The remains were found less than 30km north of Toolern Vale, where a two-day search for Mrs Ristevski was centred two months ago.
It is not yet known if the discovery of the body is linked to the 47-year-old’s disappearance.
Mrs Ristevski has not been seen since June 29, when she left her $1.1 million home in Avondale Heights, in Melbourne’s north west.
On December 19 and 20 last year, police drained dams and searched countryside at Toolern Vale, south of the bushland where the body was found today.

Police were drawn to the search area after phone towers traced mobile phones, belonging to Mrs Ristevski and her husband, to the region the day she disappeared.

Who set up the page? I thought it was her friend from Sydney?
Maybe a r.i.p to replace this? Has it been confirmed to family'?

Oh my goodness, just seeing the news. I bet it's her, it just adds up. If so, wow, what a find by a person simoly out walking in nature! If itcis her Borce must be pooping his pants!!!

It's been there all through a very hot summer. There honestly wouldn't be much left. Lots of animals and insects wouldn't help either. DNA &/or dental records will confirm identity ASAP.
