I wonder what SG's totally weird fixation with Lisa's hair was about?!. Why wouldn't he allow her to wear her hair out?!. The quote below makes my blood boil!. imo

I think it's to do with freely flowing hair being too sexy/sexual.

In my understanding, quite a few of the extreme versions of organised religions - eg. Ultra Orthodox Jews (women wear a wig, so their real hair not on display), Muslims with the hijab - have an issue with women's hair flowing freely. I'm pretty sure ultra-conservative Christians have some issue with it too (hair is tied up neatly/tightly). In all the male-dominated religions there seems to be some correlation between women's hair and their sexuality.

Not saying SG's religious, but if he is from a more male-dominated culture he may well have viewed loose hair as way too sexual in his partner. Though as someone has already noted, his current partner is wearing tight clothes and loose hair. But I agree with whoever said it - that won't last long if he has any say in it............:twocents:

"69 seconds between the image of Gittany clutching his fiancee and her fall" and he's in the kitchen making a cup of tea?.

"The court heard it was just before 9.45am when a female neighbour heard Ms Harnum screaming "please help me, God help me". Shortly after, the neighbour is expected to give evidence of "a single bone-chilling scream". There are 69 seconds between the image of Gittany clutching his fiancee and her fall."

Sooooooo absurdly and horrifically ridiculous!

"C'mon darling .. let me grab you, silence you, drag you back in the apartment, and immediately make you a nice cup of tea while you are standing there desperately yelling 'please help me, God help me!'."

He wasn't going to let her leave him, no way, no how ... it is absolutely heartbreaking :(

And what is that white/silver thing near her throat in the photo of him with his hand clamped over her mouth and nose? Is he holding something to her throat? Hope the police have been able to enhance that photo so they can see what that is.

I find myself wondering if his surveillance cameras were conveniently switched off that morning (aka deleted).

I've been trying to figure out what it is as well. Some pictures I've seen show whatever it is more clearly, or rather more of it, than others. You can see a little more in the photo at this link.

I can't figure out what this guy is doing out on bail ... just because his parents put up $600,000 surity? With so much witness testimony, seems he should be waiting his time out behind bars.

Interesting to note that her beautiful hair is tied tightly back in all the photos of her accompanying him at his trial. I suspect the subtle (or not so subtle) manouvering to have the new girlfriend comply with his seemingly strict and controlling ways has commenced, while he is showering her with distracting affection of course.

From an older article.

January 19, 2013

Mr Gittany agreed Ms Harnum could work at a hair salon in early 2011, but soon forced her to quit, according to her mother.

''Lisa told me she stopped working at the salon because Simon told her she was wearing her hair down and was dressing a bit fancier.

''He told her she was changing, people were looking at her and that he didn't like it.''

In my opinion, I think it's all a bit of a charade with the "actress" girlfriend by his side.

She's wearing the figure hugging dresses, showing cleavage, hair out, all the things the accused prevented Lisa from doing. I think he's attempting to paint a complete opposite picture of himself to the one the prosecutor shows him to be.

Good point. He absolutely will be striving to do everything to counteract all the witness testimony of him being a selfish, controlling, abusive, domineering <bleep>. And he has known this girl for 5 years, previously as a friend.

And I notice in the article below, there is actually a photo of her with her hair down (and cleavage showing) as they attend court together, so her hair isn't pulled back tightly for court all the time now, as I had first thought.

She looks like Lisa, and portrays a sexy girl, but perhaps not one he'd marry ... or not unless she eventually becomes a docile, housebound servant at some point in the future - and she is of Portuguese background so there is a good chance she would be very tough to get under his thumb. She may be discarded later (through normal means!)

"She has known Gittany for five years, before he dated and got engaged to Ms Harnum, but she only became romantically involved with him about a year ago - long enough to be convinced of his innocence."

I totally agree. All a charade imo. He is, imo, an extremely cunning individual. Interesting to note; most of the online footprints of the new girlfriend are disappearing rapidly. There was a radio interview, just under 50 minutes long, that I listened to via the Google cache (below link) and now when I click on "Listen to the interview here"(http://www.latalkradio.com/archives/Beautiful-061412.mp3) I get "The requested document was not found on this server - Web Server at latalkradio.com". Well, too little too late - I listened to the interview and although, imo, very boring it was also quite revealing in light of current events.

'Yeah... he's kicking her a*s': Footage of ballerina 'thrown from balcony to her death by her fiancé' shows him encouraging trainer to put her through a gruelling workout

UPDATED: 13:00 GMT, 25 October 2013

"The new video presented as evidence in Gittany's trial shows the dancer being encouraged by her trainer to do to lunges with weights as Gittany looks on saying, 'come on bub, do it for me'."

"A neighbour, however, claims he saw a topless man 'fist-pumping' on the terrace after something had gone over the edge, 9News reported."

Man accused of throwing ballet dancer off 15th floor balcony gets bail

Oh my goodness .... (from your link enzeder)

"Magistrate Janet Wahlquist found that Mr Gittany had a strong argument in his defence against the murder charge and that this was an "exceptional circumstance" that meant he was entitled to bail.

The magistrate also found Mr Gittany had strong ties in the community and was not a risk of absconding, given that his family had offered to pay a $600,000 surety.

Mr Gittany's family shed tears of relief outside the courtroom, with the 37-year-old to stay with his parents when he is released from Long Bay jail."

... what the heck strong argument did he have in his defence? He was making a cup of tea in the kitchen? The witness didn't see him toss Lisa from the balcony? He wasn't a complete control-freak? There have even been innuendos in MSM about an alleged unmentionable (at this stage) violent history!

In Google searching, I have noticed in different articles that Magistrate Wahlquist seems to lean toward lighter penalties IMO. He was a 'lucky' boy getting her for his bail hearing. I am extremely curious to know exactly who SG's family is - and why they have the power to get an alleged murderer out of jail, and have links removed from articles mentioning SG's girlfriend, etc etc.

This smells like Phoebe Handsjuk's case to me ('threw herself' down a garbage chute 12 floors up - exactly the same kind of boyfriend - and his parents are judges, so Phoebe's family are really struggling to even get the case to court ... even with her grandfather, a detective, pushing as hard as he can!)

Just some random notes after watching the video in which the accused is "shouting encouragement" to Lisa.

The accused worked for a company that delivers health products to fitness fanatics.

http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/ne...r-was-she-pushed/story-fni0cx12-1226747183885

What type of products exactly I wonder. "delivered"..... by what means, post?? delivery truck??

Legal?? perhaps sold via internet??

It must have been a well paying job for him to live in a multimillion dollar apartment.

His request for legal aid was declined.... the accused failed the assets test.

I wonder if his "delivery" job was investigated.

A proposed expert in eating disorders who will be asked to give an opinion as to whether the deceased was suffering from an eating disorder at the time of her death and whether that is likely to have contributed to a decision to act as the accused says she did.

I imagine a toxicology exam was done on Lisa. I wonder about the results.

SouthAussie...we're allowing discussion of the accused's history because it's a judge only trial...no jury so it can't be tainted

EveD posted the "history" links back on page 3

Yes, I'd really like to know what these so called "health products" were exactly although I do have my suspicions. :silenced:
