A friend of mine works with the doctor (I believe he's a surgeon) who was the first medically qualified responder and who was the one attempting to revive the deceased. I wonder will he be called to give evidence?

I seem to recall hearing / reading somewhere that when SG arrived on the street he engaged in some odd prodding movement towards Lisa, and had to be told to step back(?).

The same friend mentioned to me that another of the first people on the scene was convinced as to SG being guilty then and there, saying he had a crazy air to him. I'm not sure if the accusation was put to him at the time.

Thanks for that Jamie233. So hard not to get angry, angry, angry at the men in this case!! But I can't help it.........

Please!!! As if any of us would trust the opinion of a male friend of SG's!

As friends typically share values and belief systems, I'm sure his attitude to what constitutes a healthy relationship is very far from mine (or anyone else not brought up with a hatred of women!!).

As if that is valid evidence of the state of SG's relationship! I wouldn't trust this guy's opinion AT ALL!!! :twocents:

BBM - Here's a quote referring to SG poking Lisa's head in a "very unusual manner". *shudder*

Witness heard 'deranged screaming' from balcony before seeing body fall

October 24, 2013

''He was kneeling and poking her head,'' Ms Cornish said, gesturing to the middle of her forehead.

''He was poking her in a very unusual manner, to the point that the doctor asked him to back off, asked him to move back so he could work on her.''

Another account of how SG reacted when he saw Lisa's body. Amazing how he recovered so quickly after the performance in the lift. imo

October 26, 2013

Yesterday, witness Kieran McCaffrey said the woman's fiance seemed unusually calm when he emerged from the up-market Hyde Building to find her stricken body lying on the footpath below.

"I remember he crouched down next to her, holding her head and saying 'she'll be OK'," he said. Dr McCaffrey, who was still in medical school at the time of the death, said he wasn't sure if the man was "in shock" but he didn't appear at all distressed when he saw the woman's injuries.

"He seemed fairly calm about what had happened - he didn't look upset, he didn't look panicked," he said.

"I specifically remember those few things just because they were unusual for me."

"A friend of a man accused of murdering his fiancee says the two seemed to have a normal relationship before her death.

His friend of 25 years has given evidence in the Supreme Court.

Peter Mourgelas says Gittany and Miss Harnum were known to have "a few spats", but were otherwise normal."

Uh huh ... normal. Yes .....

Evidently his normal and my normal are worlds apart! Wonder if it is also normal to murder your fiancee if she is leaving you and it is not on your terms?

The I.T. guy is suspicious . He states that the set up he installed was not to spy on her. What did he think it was for when he programmed the computer to read all her computer activity.

So I don't believe the camera was not working. In my opinion either he deleted the part that would show what happened in the room or he made a new tape after all this had happened changing the date on it. I just don't buy his story.

:fireworks:

OMG ... about time!! The 'helping the lawyer' farce is over!

:fireworks2:

So obviously all of the photocopying is now completed! :banghead: SG should have been kept in custody and LS could have done the photocopying. How hard is it?

Joshua Rathwell's interview was very interesting. He seems to be a very forthright and intelligent young guy. One thing he said during the interview sent chills down my spine.

"I thought it was a junkie on an ice bender." This in reference to hearing and seeing SG throwing Lisa from the balcony.

How close to the truth is this I wonder? Perhaps not ice but a steroid rage perhaps? Not that it really makes any difference. Lisa is dead and SG killed her.

RL might have to take over photocopying duties.

At the risk of sounding like a petty female, RL where is your hair straightener girl! Has it been raining in Sydney?

I just had a horrible thought.

What if RL actually IS in a genuine relationship with SG?? I just assumed she was 'hired' for PR purposes but she is looking increasingly emotional and vulnerable.......maybe she genuinely cares for SG.

If so, that is really sad and I feel concern for her. Unfortunately these guys are always able to attract women whose issues match up neatly with their own. eg. believing a man controls you if he really loves you etc etc.....

I've also noticed that it is often the women like RL - and Lisa - who are impeccably groomed and spend a lot of time on their appearance who often have low self-esteem. It seems contradictory as they are physically gorgeous, but I have seen that repeatedly. An inordinate amount of focus on the outside does not necessarily mean a happy inside!! Overcompensation. I wonder if RL has checked out any news reports about SG?.

"Ms Louise sat in the public gallery for the first time during the trial and used a tissue to blow her nose and dab her eyes before she started furiously texting on her mobile phone.

The court heard Ms Louise had spent every day of the case supporting Mr Gittany outside the courtroom."

Does that mean she hasn't been present in the courtroom for the entire trial?? I didn't realise that. Has she just been 'dropping him off' at court?

His present girlfriend Rachelle Louise, a 24-year-old actress, has supported Gittany every day of his trial for the murder of Lisa Harnum and had been flagged as a defence witness.

But Gittany's barrister Philip Strickland SC closed the case without calling her.

Ms Louise has been forced to spend the days waiting outside the courtroom as a trial witness can't sit in on evidence that precedes them taking the stand.

She came into the public gallery after the morning tea adjournment. Shortly afterwards, the defence case closed.

Does anyone know roughly how long we can expect the judge to deliberate on this case before returning with a verdict? :seeya:

I think that there was a chance that she may have been called as a witness & therefore is unable to be in the court room until she had given evidence?

When I was involved in a coroners inquest ( I'm a nurse ) I was unable to sit in the court until I had given evidence, you usually don't know when you will be called ( one off my colleges attended for 2 days & never got called in the end! ) That's my limited experience :twocents: But maybe the criminal court is different to the coroners court??
