True ... in which case the beneficiaries/owners of the trust would need to be the ones to enable its use for bail.

No wonder Greg Walsh looked tired on TV, as stated by Cliff Hardy. What a schmozzle!

"Get me out of jail NOW!!! I don't care what you have to do."

SA I’ve lost count of how many times have we cheered to see criminals go to gaol just before Christmas.

There IS a Santa!

I wonder if the Dawson’s lawyer simply needs to have the papers amended that are necessary to have Chris released, or if they have to be redrawn? If redrawn, it’s going to be a busy weekend and another return flight to the Goldie perhaps.

Perhaps one of the properties is held by a trust and more documentation is needed to confirm the ownership. Peter's? Does he seem the type to get tripped up by his own tax evasion trickery?
From my experience when a property is owned in a trust, and you want to mortgage, the bank will require their legal eagles to peruse the trust to ensure that the trust allows borrowing against any real property. MOO as a property investor.
Not saying that said Dawson property is in a trust but obviously there is a hiccup somewhere.

Good thing that the courts are astute enough to pick up the error/missing doco.
Maybe they thought they would be able to slide it right by the courts. Seeing that they have slid an alleged murderer right by the courts for many years.

I think you should start a sweep. I’ll take Monday at 4:30pm.

Hope all the flights are full.
They wouldn't like spending MORE money on hotels, so may drive all the way home, with car rentals, or use railways etc.
Poor old Dawsons.:D

That baggage carriage on the XPT may come in handy yet!

Nice!... It is reasonable to infer that the NSW detectives put it to the DPP , who put it to the judge that the amount of bail was exactly right , just the amount to cause a lot of hoo haa and about as much difficulty as could be extracted from the occasion

I bet the NSW coppers have been sweeping a careful eye over any assets that Chris , Paul and Peter hold, and keeping a running totting up sheet as the arraignment date became due.

Nice!.. all round nice ness, right up to Peter's uncontrollable tantrums, if he isn't considered an accomplice, I'll eat my hat.

I’m curious as to how the magic figure of 1.5 million originally occurred ? Did Team Dawson offer it 1st, thinking it would be slam dunk for bail? Seems a substantial amount for just CD.
Not sure of the process that determines bail amounts.

Peter certainly gives out the impression that he is accustomed to getting his own way, doesn't he?
And doesn't like the media at all. Maybe the Teacher's Pet thing has really got to him. After all these years of perhaps swaying the DPP (my opinion) .. it has finally come down to this.
