Well, why do you think? Why would CD and PD be driving around with their teenage babysitters????????
Just realised my post was one asterisk shortChris Dawson said ‘the **** has to go’, murder trial told
I'm sure that's intended as a rhetorical question. Why would CD and PD be driving around with their teenage babysitters????????
Yes I should have addedI'm sure that's intended as a rhetorical question
The more I read of that, the more I shook my head. What a waste of the court's time.
A former neighbour of Chris Dawson has told a Sydney court they saw Lynette Dawson working at a hospital more than two years after she vanished.
oh thats great Via Marple. Finally got around to attend court this afternoon.
Only got to hear two witnesses before court adjourned at 3.30. Crown estimated they would finish their case by Wednesday the week after.
I am sure the media will do a good job reporting on the proceedings.. I will just say that the attitudes of the late 70s and early 80s were quite shocking IMO. People didn't seem to care if someone's wife showed up with a black eye, or their good friend openly disclosed about sleeping with an underage student. They would continue to mingle socially, no problem.
I would love to be in the courtroom to feel what the atmosphere is like. It's so hard to judge on the snippets of media releases.oh thats great Via Marple.
Did you feel the vibe of the prosecution or defence stronger?
That's what the media don't give us.

I don't like to judge someone who believes they saw Lyn. I don't believe it was Lyn they saw, but to have the courage to take the stand in a high profile case takes a lot of doing IMO.The more I read of that, the more I shook my head. What a waste of the court's time.
I agree here, Bats. These other 'witnesses'.. the bloke in the hospital, his wife, their testimony was a bit feeble way back , and even more so now, for the same reason , neither of them spoke to Lynn. They were, perhaps unconsciously, rejecting the reality that it was Lynn, that it was a look alike, but not quite.IMO...
For a defence's strategy to have PD and MD take the stand is showing weakness and desperation. Major cracks are opening up now in the case for team Dawson...
Anyone would think JC was on trial.
How a 16 year old who is asked to parent a 4 and a 2 year old copes is going to be difficult. Most mothers have 9 months to prepare for their first child/ren.
Added the following:
From your article
She gained 2 kids she didn't want to look after. So does Paul now think that Lyn was murdered. I am getting confused didn't Lyn just leave? So JC murdered Lyn remotely from her caravan park with friends or she murdered her after the central coast where she was seen driving a car (without a licence), shopping back in Sydney after she was seen by her former brother in law. Lets not forget no one ever spoke to her. JC didn't have anything to gain after Lyn "left".

Same with the very elderly lady who spoke about seeing Lynn.... oh. on a bus?. She was very old back then, but she also did not speak with Lynn, or acknowledge that her assumption was correct. These are things the judge will give weight to.
And besides this, it is already been adjudicated that she is missing , presumed dead, and dead by murder.
PD and MD have a strong motivation to blatantly lie to the court, which I , personally, believe they have, by inference if by nothing else. They are both trying, and trying too hard and trying it on together to paint Lynn into someone her own family would not recognise. This will have weight in the summing up, too. It is absurd to paint Paul as never hearing Chris moan about Lynn. They shared everything, everyone says so. Their own mother said so.
That bit about Lynn saying she cares more for the kids in hospital, ,nonsense. and nonsense about Dawson being hands on dad, he didn't last a day without dragging Joanne back from her holiday to buckle down and 'take care of the kids'... he probably couldn't find their shoes.

I don't think I can tell between that sort of vibes, since I had never attended a trial before todayoh thats great Via Marple.
