PD and CD each have 3 daughters and also some granddaughters. What would they think if their own were groomed, preyed upon and abused by male teachers?

Men like the Dawsons and women who turn a blind eye towards their behaviour don’t really give much of a sh** about women imo
I doubt they’d be capable of much empathy, related or not.

Paul and Marilyn have (adult) children don't they, or they wouldn't have needed a babysitter. You have to feel for them, with all that's about to hit them.

Paul & Marilyn have 3 daughters. Paul is 75, so his daughters must be late 40s or thereabouts.

Imagine being Paul's daughters and grandchildren and finding out what a filthy pervert their blood relative is. Plus there's the murderer in the family, Chris, who was doing the exact same thing.

I hope they bring it up with Marilyn because, as JC put it, "it was happening right under her nose, so she must have known."

The mills of justice grind slowly on and on. And every now and then another jolt of horror is laid at a Dawson Door, and long overdue, too. It takes a certain kind of psychosis to keep these kind of secrets for so long, buried so deep, as deep as Lynn is buried, I suppose.

I am operating on the theory that Chris Dawson, dense and dumb as he is, had to have had help. He had the little girls in tow and a dead body. All too much, and he asked for and got help, and the field is narrow of those who would, unquestioning, obedient, co operative, be helping Chris Dawson on this matter, Very few contenders for that role. Someone whose secrets Chris was keeping.

On another tangent, the school authorities, on a scale of 100 , how negligent were they? particularly the Catholic School Org, that hired both Chris and Twin 1 as teachers (?) after their exit under disgrace from the NSW Teachers Board. Knowing their tendencies, they were both hired as teachers of 'physical education' at an ALL GIRLS SCHOOL.

For sure. If it happened to their own it would be that girls fault, which is why they can justify their own behaviour. Which is why some wives, and I am looking at MD with squinty eyes here, who do look at other women in that light.

MD was awfully keen , in interviews with police, to lay out Lynn as someone who was weak , who didn't 'fight' for her marriage, such utter nonsense, Dawson had to kill her to end it, a signal of how much Lynn put into keeping the family together. Lynn got on MD's nerves, she had a father who put up $10,000 as a loan for their lavish house, a profession, ( a qualified RN ) , a secure job at a kindergarten, a gifted and talented seamstress, who dressed immaculately for every and any occasion, and who maintained a close relationship with her family. All that stuff was a great annoyance to MD.

I agree. I also get the impression that MD would have been very submissive to PD. And maybe still is. Those brothers were treated like gods. And I reckon he would have treated her like she was lucky to have him, and walked all over her imo. Gaslighting, coercive control, you name it imo.

Moo is that this is still no excuse for accepting the ephebophilic actions of her husband and brother in law imo. She turned a blind eye towards it, and still has after all these years imo moo.

I feel for Shanelle so much. She spoke so articulately at CD’s sentencing. It’s so awful that her mother was ripped from her life, and she was left with her revolting father, a 16yo step mother and a bunch of SA apologists as her extended family.

I hope she’s found peace, I can’t wait to read her book.

No grounds for appeal, CD, if he appealed, and somehow, miraculously won a another Trial ,other evidence, would be in a new trial and maybe PD will end up in the docks Right next to him in jail, Chris is resigned to his fate, not saying a word to protect CD

400 pages too. Rebecca was a lawyer so it should be well written and a really good read.

Rebecca Hazel met JC at a women's shelter where they both worked and I'm sure I remember Rebecca saying JC confided with her. Not sure if that is to the extent of being a co-author or major contributor to the book though. We shall see.
