Deceased/Not Found Australia - Lynette Dawson, 34, Sydney, Jan 1982 *husband guilty* #5

Bones unearthed by workers at a construction site on Sydney’s northern beaches have been confirmed as non-human, police have confirmed.
Thank you so much for the update.

I guess I am staying the obvious here, but I really wish CD would tell the truth about where LS is, so that her family can bring her home.

There is another Australian case with so many parallels to the Chris Dawson - JC one.

The victim in this case was a 15 year old Queensland schoolgirl called Sarah Kopp. Her sports teacher, Paul Grealy, who was more than twice her age - yes it seems to always be the sports teacher - groomed her, married her and they had children together. In the process he cut her off from her friends and peers - ringing bells?

Just recently, over 20 years later, Grealy was held to account and convicted.

Watched it on TV last night. Decent show, even for those who thought we'd seen it all before.

It further convinced me that #1 twin is on borrowed time.

Don't forget Mrs #1 twin, an embedded player from the start.

That really was a fascinating program.

I am really intrigued at just how Twin 1 is just going about the community as a free man.

It makes no sense to me.

Interesting also that JC didn’t give an interview but Shanelle did.

I sort of wonder if at some point JC did have the maturity to know what she was doing. I wish that Mrs Twin 1 had that sense of right and wrong that JC has demonstrated.

For Twin 1 to be bought to justice, one of his no doubt many victims would need to be prepared to go through the horrid process of a court case against him and sadly, all these years later, it would be a tough call getting a guilty verdict. Yes, JC was successful in court against Chris but fortunately she still had a bit of evidence to work with.

As far as JC ever going public. Outside of someone offered her absolutely life changing money for a book deal or an interview, I can't see that happening. She is probably best just putting it behind her and getting on with life.

I feel so sad for Shanelle- I have loads of memories before age 4 1/2, and I suppose due to the trauma and also the lack of photos and stories from Chris - she can’t remember any of it.

I think some people remember and some people don't. I have very few memories before I was 6 without a life of trauma. At high school when I had to write about my first day at school, it was basically fiction.

The photos would help with memories though.

I definitely remember a few details of my first day of school - good to know it’s actually normal to not remember though!

I think he is covered by Legal Aid so I presume the State pays for that.

Sydney judge Sarah Huggett found the now 76-year-old had groomed his victim and took advantage of her vulnerability due to her troubles at home.

Chris will only be eligible for parole in August 2041, after losing his appeal against the conviction. Lynette’s body has still never been found, and her disappearance was documented in the Teacher’s Pet podcast.
