Interesting… do you think MB ended up in Uk at a Bruhderhof community? Teaching? Money withdrawn to hand over ? not suggesting you are just curious on your thoughts
Not to my knowledge no it hasn’t been looked at. The only religious/ cult thing were the early days of podcast and the one around NimbinNo I don't. I think MB grew suspicious and tried to come home... / or did come home and met her demise.
BUT I do believe that RB and W have a strong connection to this community....... and I am wondering if this has ever been looked into ?? Do you know @Eyespywithmylittleeye , you have been here a lot longer than I have.
THIS whole Bruderhof thing is ringing alarm bells with me!!!!!
No. There are a lot of people that have spoken out about the communities, I wasnt sure whether to post up or not. That particular one you have there is a really interesting read.It seems not everyone enjoys bruderhof

Yes, I am not saying he is a member at all....I really can't see Mr.Aka having any connection (as a member) to this "cult society" as RB once said, unless there was monetary gain somewhere for him.
I'm more inclined to think along the lines of a connection to a property or business in the Inverell area or a person from Inverell. Perhaps a trucking or removalist business.
That shipping container still bugs me; it went somewhere and someone definitely knows something!

On the front of it, this community is something I see MB enjoying finding out about and a lot of it aligns with what we know of her so far.
I think he used this community to entice his victims. There are so many connections to all of this I cant let it go now.
It starts with the family of Weiss ( RPW 2nd wife) and ends with where we are today.
Too much to be coincidental.
I have sent what I have to TLV

Sorry @mishy66, I probably misunderstood when you said he might use the community to entice victims. I took that as meaning he was a member.
No not a member at all.......BUT he would know all about it.
I meant he using the Bruderhof as a means to entice lonely/isolated/vulnerable women to a place depicting '"safe, family orientated, nurturing, community minded, tight knit people" with a guarantee of a job or as a volunteer or for some a family they never had. ( NOT inferring this is MB by any means !)
What would he be able to do with these women's house deeds etc etc he is stealing? He could possibly sell the goods and jewels for sure.
But a house, under their name, signed over to him? with him and her on a pension? and the womens family members thinking it odd someone is now selling their missing family members house that was signed over to someone they only just met??
BUT if he is 'signing' them over to an organisation as a donation...then that is another thing all together, with nothing linked to him or her....
""People wanting to join Bruderhof must spend time with the group, live as a novitiate for up to a year, be baptised and then make final vows of commitment. All property and possessions are handed over to the community."""
They not only fund their own communities BUT also own a lot of land, travel, businesses ,that brings with it wealth.
There is a family connection to this Inverall community as well, that assisted many members at one time.
So so much @BonnieB !
Just been going over JO time with him and reading back over the post by @Lord Peter Flimsy who knows the area well ( I don't so am only guided by maps etc )
But reading his post here:
Australia - Australia - Marion Barter, 51, missing after trip to UK, June 1997 #10
Beech Grove Bruderhof settlement Founded in 1995 in Nonington, Kent
Beech Grove
Located in the Kentish North Downs, an area of gently rolling chalk hills and valleys, farmland, meadows, and woodlands, in the village of Nonington, halfway between the historic town of Canterbury and the white cliffs of Dover and are just sixteen kilometers from both the North Sea and the English Channel.
Beech Grove is known historically as the St. Albans Court Manor. Recorded residence on this site goes back over one thousand years. The property includes a Grade I listed Victorian manor and a medieval thatched cottage.
I can't get it out of my mind that the main focus is schooling - (schools seem to be another common denominator in RB dealings with people), giving up all possessions, Bruderhof members do not hold private property, but rather share everything. Members work inside the Bruderhof, and nobody receives a salary or has a bank account.
Founded in 1920, Plough is an independent publisher affiliated with the Bruderhof, an international Christian community movement.

Has this religious community been looked into before in regards to RB and MB?
I don't believe in any 'coincidences' when it comes to him....
think it came through as a tip but don’t quote me on that I’d have to go back a listen that episode was a long time ago.I can't remember; in the podcast, who initially suggested that MB may have joined a cult?
I might be imagining it but I have looked at the Bruderhof’s before. It might have been a Sussex sleuth who brought them to my attention. Robertsbridge where they are based in East Sussex is just a 12 minute drive to Burwash.
It was such a lovely day yesterday I went to visit Rudyard Kipling’s home at Bateman’s in Burwash. What a gorgeous place to have lived and go for a long walk. I notice in the National Trust leaflet I was given that in Kipling’s day the village boasted 7 pubs in the early 1900s (the figure quoted by Aka at the inquest) but no longer.
