My friend checked RP Logic for all the properties on Hazel Road, Tamborine. None of the current owners relate to RB or his aliases. The home at No 65 (actually 63-69) was built in 1990 and the property covers 2 hectares. The property last sold for $650,000 in March 2021. None of the previous owners of No 63-69 from 1990 were RB or his aliases.

I can check other Queensland addresses or name searches but a at least a suburb or town name must be given for name searches.

General question:

Most of us here seem to give our tips to [email protected], or so it seems.

What i’ve been wondering all along; do we need to report to the police also or do the people of this e-mailadress give everthing to police? I’m not asking this in regard of the award, but of information getting to the right people so it gets looked into.

As i’m not from Aus i thank you all for your info & help!:D

I sent some relevant facts about Marion's initial 1997 meeting with RB directly to TLV. They replied that they would forward my information to investigators. I assume that was LE. I haven't shared it here as I don't want certain individuals to get a chance to fabricate another story from info gathered here.

Thanks for doing this.

I think RB's claim of property in Hazel road was land, purchased around 1976 - and still owned it in 1981

Notably Tambourine wasn't an address DDH claim to have lived so if it is anything I think just bare land

Great idea. I think the SL team would appreciate that.

I wonder if your friend would check this address for us.

17 Linning St, Warren Park Qld[/QUOTE @mishy66 FdeH had this as his address in 1986. It is an estate development called Brookchester Manor consisting of 61 "apartment" dwellings which were built in 1984. So quite new when he lived there but as usual, our Mr Evasive did not supply a unit number!

I always wondered about that and never asked:rolleyes:

During the early 1980's the estate was the site of several high profile lotteries run by a Brisbane based radio station. Major prize in the " Free Home lottery" was a house & land package in the estate. In one particular lottery, several houses were built along both sides of Schweitzer Street, with the winner given the choice of their preferred house. These houses were open to the public in the lead up to the draw, bringing a great deal to traffic and attention to the estate.
Thanks @Liselle I know the area and posted up previously about multiple lotteries in the area .
I am not so sure it was one unit.. which is why I asked about it.
I have an inkling he didn't own the unit block /land but I would love to know who did.

Same here, but they said ‘worth investigating’. So now i wonder if i have to send it to LE myself or not.

SL has a great team of investigators who also monitor the Websleuths pages (as do other "interested" parties, I'm sure). If you have information that is relevant to the case and might be better kept private (for obvious reasons) the best place to send it is to The facebook page Missing Person Marion Barter.

Of course, if you know something that may lead to finding Marion, don't hesitate and call Crimestoppers 1800333000

I was going to wait to hear if my submission to TLV was brought up at the next hearing days of the inquest. If not I will approach LE directly.

A search of RP Logic for current and previous owners named FdH of properties at Mount Warren Park Qld returned no results. Sorry Liselle.

Does anyone know the year RB was running/working in the cafe in Sydney? I thought it was '76, but not sure now, looking at his charge sheet '76 and '77 are featured quite a bit overseas.

I thought it was when both he and DDH returned from overseas with their children so was that the early 80's ?

Thanks @car54 , I asked about Linning St and I am not surprised a FdeH returned no results, under that name.

Found where RB talks about working in the cafe for the first time, it was after the Vietnam War demonstration where he was injured while filming it, allegedly, so he went and worked in coffee lounge after that, around '74 - will see if I can find a '75 Yellow Pages through the library, such is my obsession, good grief Charlie Brown.
Found this old Sydney phone book for 1960  - don't know how long they were running cafe for though.
November 1960
And off topic, found these old NSW phone books, 1926 to 1954, all online to look through :)

I too, was obsessed with finding that damn coffee shop. There were a couple of clues in his ramblings.
1. He said he'd go to the news stand on the corner of Pitt & Market during his break.
2. The 'entrance' to the coffee shop was off Market St. which could mean it was in an arcade or lane way.
3. He claimed the owner of Le Courrier Australien came to the shop regularly. The office of that newspaper was in Kent St, about 4 city blocks away from Pitt St. Quite a stroll for a cup of coffee!
I gave up in the end.
