Does anybody else see a resemblance between the lady to the far left of AC (our right) and Marion?

Sorry, posted twice.

AC: What did the man look like?
RB: Solid. Big man. Spiderman costume.

Just like the mini bus not running overnight back then, the being at the airport two hours early most likely didn't either, 25 years ago.
I certainly don't recall having to be at an airport two hours early in those days.
You're right @TootsieFootsie It wasn’t until after 2001 (9/11 Twin Towers) that we had to be at the airport 2 hours prior for additional baggage checking. Before 2001 it was 1 hour for international flights.

Not sure if we are allowed to reference other cases on here @admin please delete if not allowed.

Following the recent William Tyrrell inquest both foster parents have since been charged with giving misleading evidence to the NSW Crime Commission. As far as I'm aware the colonial inquest findings haven't been handed down as yet despite the inquest finishing last year.

I'm just bringing this up as I'm wondering if a similar process may follow here, ie getting charged with lying. Can't say I understand who the NSW Crime Commission are and how this differs from lying to the Police or Coroner.

I know we are all hoping there's an outcome from this inquest but reflecting on the WT process, maybe there won't be and it will be strung out for considerable time afterwards.

It's infuriating.

Thanks Liselle,
I thought it was one hour. Thanks for confiming it.
I did think it started because of 9/11 but wasn't quite sure of my recollection.

Has anyone realized that a real tea chest full of "didactic material", in other words, books, would be almost impossible for one person to lift into a truck without giving themselves a hernia? Of course, imaginary tea chests are much lighter!

Casselden is VERY good. He's making a point of reading back RB's previous testimony back to him, word for word. It's awkward.

It is now crystal clear that although RB has been allowed to ramble and backflip, every word IS being recorded and taken into account, and he won't be let off the hook so easily.

The pressure is mounting. Casselden is turning it up to 11. RB is getting exhausted and no longer knows how to reply.

Finger's crossed he'll crack.
Yep and he's got 3 days in the hot seat. Wearing him down perhaps...

This is so painful. I do wish the coroner would offer him immunity in relation to MB for him to tell the truth. They have enough other things to charge him with.

American here and not familiar with Australian laws, so what could he be charged with? I think most of the fraud type stuff would be past the statute of limitations here so he couldn't be charged

Not to mention he doesn't talk to them other than a brief hello - this, his 'girlfriend' that he says propositioned him on her honeymoon back in the 60's and then only rekindled a brief 4 month sexual union where he spent so much time travelling back and forth to see her, and who just happens to give him her 'prized' school things to look after, only to return a few weeks later to pick them all up with her new boyfriend dressed as a Pilot, carrying filthy tea chests on their own, out to their car, all without a word spoken.

And also can give a description (albeit a vague one)

From what I understand, an inquest is postponed if charges are laid (which signals the beginning of a criminal case), and then reopened once the criminal case is complete.

In Marion's case, there have been no charges laid yet so it can be completed. Unless of course charges are made during the time up until the Coroner publishes their findings.

I forgot about that wrinkle… Tight rope for Casselden to walk.
