Smith is alluding to that RB bought a car just two days BEFORE the last known evidence that Marion was alive, ie: the optometrist!
Erm... so they think he bought a car to hide the body? IMO.

I should mention, the optometrist was 13 August 1997.
This gives some indication that perhaps they don't believe Marion withdrew her cash.

When he was asked if he knew what happened to Marion, he said he only knew what he read in the brief.
Again, not really denying anything, but deflecting.

In Feb when Casselden asked him if he murdered Marion, RB did NOT answer NO, but "are you kidding?"

I assume he means “she stayed at the hotel’ when he says he read it in the brief. He’s said that so many times

He deflects soooo much… most questions he is uncomfortable (read:guilty) about, he answers them with a question, a suggestion of where to find evidence, or a statement about how ridiculous it is.

why did he not return to the question about IK daughter??????

why does RB not know if his brother in law is deceased or not? When we do???

He mentioned his sister in law as a person who saw the news while having dinner with her son. So does the SIL no longer associate with RB?

The Coincidence ending was good but I think he should have as @Peralta has been screaming on here about which I totally agree asked if he was with Florabella in uk as Mb the person as such was no longer.

I suspect many of the loose threads left hanging are to do with "keeping the powder dry" for potential prosecution / action/ investigation. This is an inquest re MB and it must be very frustrating and thus the legal eagles have to be very disciplined to stick to the aim, at the same time as setting up a basis of contradiction for the future.

Must say I was also in the camp she came back.. but I have big doubts now too
