Oh things are getting interesting now!!
Bravo to the sleuths for finding the missing Chusan passenger cards.

so they were both adamant on the stand for the time frame of meeting because it was true… but the name is not….. or is it?

is RB really Freddy and not WW? Or just another fake passport to his feathered cap?

And he specifically avoided answering if he'd ever used that name, by saying "that's my brother". Going back to listen to his evidence again. WOW!!
He denied it!

This is getting so interesting! I wonder why he lied? He denied being Fredy David "No, that was my brother", hahaha.

Thanks to @mishy66 , here's the link:

Fredy David (pg 621) was on the Chusan from Southampton
Arrived in Aus between Jan-Jun 1971
Nationality: Belgian
Country of birth: Tournai
DOB: 7 June 1942
Address in Aus: 59 Dolphin Cres, Whale Beach NSW (always lying!)
This also explains D’s slip on the stand referring to WW as a brother!

That's Diane Walker probably but why did someone attach the Elmer one?

It is Diane Walker.
The person attached the series list with the page numbers underneath.

I don't suppose it is possible they were identical twins and swapped identities?!! (whacky I know LOL)

amazing how no matter what alias he uses, his signature is almost the same every time.

also I have found DdH’s mother but not her father. I though she said she was travelling with her parents.

The next page in the archives after Fredy David arrival card is I think part of his arrival card. It shows a visa issued in Brussels. I imagine he used the alias as he couldn’t obtain a visa with pending criminal charges. I do wonder why he wanted to travel to Australia though…if to escape, I wonder why he returned?

I've been looking at and comparing signatures today. The signature on this Fredy David card is very similar to the FdH one that he adopts on the name change. and the squiggle at the end (if I can call it that) is similar for both the WW and the FdH signatures. BTW as I said a moment ago. He reports losing his passport in 1970.

Oh congratulations! Well that sorts that mystery out!
Incredible find.

I love that people who have their own line of reasoning, keep at it and sometimes it does pay off.
A few things have taken a different path and all things are possible in this storyline.

Well done you @Jamaha !
Stenographer?
Edit: Oh, I see it’s someone who transcribes shorthand. So she was a secretary after all.

This merry go round is still taking me back to my first theory that RB is really one of WW brothers not WW - I posted it a while back ...

another fake passport probably obtained using his "brothers" documents

That is exactly what I have found too! He cant seem to change that flourish of a European hand! It was what clinched it for me.
Because his birth date is not the same.... of course.
