IIRC he said she went there to pick up her stuff (that let's face it, he was going to dispose of) so that bit was a lie

BUT maybe she did go there immediately on return from UK to demand her paperwork from safe deposit box or whatever storage lock up he'd no doubt coerced her into. Maybe she did go accompanied by the pilot for back up and in his uniform (to add gravity to the situation)!?

No doubt if that happened, he would have placated them and handed over the documents. Then as soon as the coast was clear he'd have gone looking for Marion to get her alone.

There was no pilot, he gleaned this from the podcast/WS about something else and fitted it into his BS to remove himself from travelling with her.

She never went to his house, he made all that BS up. He isnt going to risk others seeing his victims with him at his own house.

He no doubt had things of Marions at the house though - maybe when the family were interviewed and shown some images of things Marion owned they recognised them, so he was covering his . Who knows.

Maybe the police said something like, "we have evidence that you knew Marion Barter", without saying what that evidence was. So he lost his nerve.

SL is very clear it was $5k per day, she has repeated this just a few days ago on the FB page and says the $500 came from MB's father when he was dealing with the Salvation Army.

There is definitely something.. I don’t know if it would be a photo based on the what we have just heard of him deleting a pic from a camera from BelgiuNm woman.. but that was after MB so perhaps he has fine tuned his game plan.

False insurance document - valid from April 1977 to 1978 and a car registration in this name for a Volvo Sedan 244 DL - valid until January 1978


To have this fake document he would have needed to aquire the original at some point which takes me back to the 'sausage days' of all the company changes above.

The Wilson Bros Company started in NZ and gradually built their way into a prosperous and expansive company who along the way met the demands from the meat industry for conveyer systems and casing machines, to manufacture sausage skins........ these were supplied to meat plants not only in Southland and throughout New Zealand but to Australia, England, Korea and Japan.

While someone did mention a while back that the butcher MJR ( who also happened to have the same BD as FR) was a false lead, and the excitement of the 1970 exportation of frozen meats to OS markets with the writeup in Trove of MR J Reid of Overseas Containers Aust and his mate Mr Swinton of Tancred, I am still convinced there is a connection to all of this and why WW came to Aust in the first place.....

With the incredible sleuthing you have done, I am SURE that if the names of the "old couple" whose phone was used to make the Crimestoppers call, was released by the police, someone on this forum would now surely find a link to the MB case. yeah the thing that sticks out to me is the tinder swindlers complete belief that he really has done nothing wrong…which is kind of reinforced by the fact that he can’t really be locked up (long) for anything…

…you just don’t know for sure that she never rocked up there afterwards…unannounced..this would cause a slip in his stories..ie ‘last saw her at my house’ no ‘I mean I last saw her at Southport’…imagine the stress & pressure being cross examined in front of your family…

But why would MB bypass Brisbane and Ashmore (Gold Coast,Queensland) to do a lengthy round trip of at least 400kms, to withdraw her savings from Burleigh Heads, Queensland then Byron Bay, New South Wales? I presume MB (on her own) didn’t have access to a car and she wasn't in contact with family or friends to assist her with this extremely lengthy journey.

I think that he adapted to every ladies situation..becoming everything they wanted him to be..ie the guy that can make my dancing career come true etc…

I think he either used the angle of assisting Marion to buy a school or knowing something about the sexual abuse allegations (that she had confided in him) and convincing her any information she had or could provide was going to endanger her life… manipulating her into believing she had to protect herself and her family by going incognito..

Yes he did! Came from Israel, & lived all over Europe..

Yup he was international and a person of multiple fake identities. A junior RB I should say, flashy version. Sadly he was only able to be imprisoned for a short time in his home country, Israel, on the basis of travelling on a false document or something IIRC. He hasn't let it affect him in the slightest it seems to have worked out to his advantage as he now earns legit revenue off the back of his 'persuasive skills'
