Oh wow! The Coroner won’t be releasing her findings on Wednesday and it’s been postponed indefinitely.

From the beginning, we knew this was a possibility. Yes, it’s sad for Sally that she won’t get a death certificate right now. But it really is good news.

If the Coroner closed the case now, it would likely be ‘inconclusive’, agreeing that Marion is deceased, her death occurring in Australia, at an unknown time and no evidence to suggest it was connected to RB.

While a postponement can mean new compelling information has been uncovered and they need more time to investigate (same as the other two times this inquest was postponed), it can also mean we’re closer to an arrest.

When inquests are postponed at this late stage, so close to the findings, it typically means the matter is going to a criminal court. The Coroner can then finalise her findings after that is complete.

I’m keeping my eyes and ears open to see if RB gets charged.

Personally, I think this postponement has a lot to do with IK’s death. Everyone agrees RB scams, so more scam victims won’t change Marion’s findings or uncover how she died.

The findings are to uncover the circumstances surrounding Marion’s death. Up until now, there have been no clues or connections about her death. But a former wife of RB ending up dead at an early age is suspicious. Particularly as her name was fudged on her record to make her harder to find - that’s classic RB! Plus TWO arsons where RB had paperwork.

I think this is really good. Both Marion and IK might finally get their peace.

Oh! And the fact the kids got an inheritance from his mother in 1998, despite saying in court they didn’t. That money is key! Investigator will 100% be trying to trace that money and get the kids involved.

If they can find a link between the kids money and Marion, then they can suggest he deceived Marion for financial gain AND perhaps a motive for murder.

I also vividly remember that one reason Marion said she was selling her house was to downsize and buy a waterfront property.

And now we know RB and his daughter had a penchant for living near the ocean.

I do believe RB first tried to get Marion to buy a new home by the beach. But for whatever reason she ended up keeping her money in the bank.

Something else noteworthy is Ghislane said they never ‘consummated the relationship’. GGB said the appendage was blue. But we know he had several kids.

So my question is, at what point did he become unable to perform?

Was it before or after his love letters to MC where he praised their bedroom activities?

Or is the impotence part of the scam? Is it the arrangement he has with his wife? For example, ‘you can seduce these women in order to take their money, but if you sleep with them I’ll leave’?

I too struggled with the French accent in the latest podcast. I need to get my ears syringed! Did I hear that it was possible RB spoke Hungarian?

I believe there is some Hungarian connection to this story including that of IK and her marriage to the mysterious Mr Reid. I wonder how many Reid’s were married in Hungary during the communist era? One?

It’s very strange. GGB suggested he was impotent and Ghislaine confirmed it too. But JO in her evidence said that something sexual did take place although she didn’t go into detail. That was the year after GGB. My own feeling is that he tried to avoid being intimate but felt duty bound if it meant getting at the money.

Yes, she said HE said that he spoke Hungarian. Ilona was Hungarian. And he’s been going around saying he is a relative of the Hungarian Claire DeHedervary. Apparently Claire has no family and knew someone was scamming people using her family name.

We also now know RB went to the bank with Ghislaine to get the cash out. I’m assuming she took out €70000 in cash in one go and then hands it to him under the table to count. That’s a lot to count. He didn’t want someone to rob him though!!

He did mention prostrate problems. But who's to know he didn't have a STI that makes it appear purple.

I’m disappointed for Sally about the findings being postponed but like others here I feel optimistic that this is a sign that the investigation is far too active to announce “findings”. Evidence before the inquest cannot, in my opinion, definitively state the manner of death or who might be responsible, but there are now active lines of inquiry open to police that were not known at the time the inquest was commenced. I just really hope that something tangible can come from this for Sally.

It only just occurred to me WHY someone would ask for liver blood tests and ultrasound BEFORE intending to poison a victim.

Perhaps he was already drugging them and wanted to see if it was showing or doing damage (he didn’t want to leave evidence).

Or maybe it was to see if they had a pre-existing condition he could hide his murder within.

Like Ghislane. She had sleep apnea so dying in sleep wouldn’t be out of the realm of posibilidades.

I when I heard that on latest episodes my instinct was DDH knows what he does. Sure ok scam pretend to fall in love and whisk them away but DO NOT be unfaithful.

Many may disagree but I 1000% believe she has been aware for years and has happily played along for $$

Yeah. That’s twice he made a victim go blonde. Another witness made a point of insisting DdH had brown/dark grey hair and did NOT look like Marion.

I honestly hate to say it and hope I am very wrong, but I do wonder about blonde MC

The recent podcast has so much detail and tightens up many theories from the past.

Going back over IK timeline and those 2 passenger cards of IK and baby EW makes so much more sense now with the 2 different departure dates.

IK was another victim swooned by a vulture and led to believe she found the man of her dreams.

What a brave mother to hand her baby over to another woman to deliver her safely to her parents in Belgium.
Were they in trouble of some sort and she was protecting her baby in case she was held in customs????

He meets D Walker on the Chusan and then returns to Lille France 1971 where IK reunites with him and they live with the baby until he is arrested.

IK eventually marries MJR in Budapest, before they all return to live in Australia.


Listening to the podcast I think it is safe to also add IK death cert and COD here so other WS can also see what J is refering to..?

Where is the toxicology results with the delayed results of the contents of the sludge in her stomach?
I assume poisons could cause myocardial ischemia which was reported cause of death??

Perhaps ensuring they don’t look like they did to family and friends. Should they report a missing they don’t match the missing description or photo ? Just a theory
