Just reading the swim meet post on MB FB page again in regard to him missing the GRAFTON pool on Sunday 21st September, 1997 - cant imagine him missing a swim meet that he was Starter and / or Judge of, UNLESS of course Grafton posed a risk for him IF he had been seen with Marion back in August when she was withdrawing her funds - for those that believe she did come back.

They then have " next event on the calendar was at the Alstonville Pool competing against the Sunshine Coast swimming association on 18th & 19 October 1997 where Mr. Blum was listed as a “Starter”.

But there was another event that the daughter competed in after the Grafton Swim meet and that was at the Aust Swimming Championships Sydney International Aquatic Centre

September 24 and 25, 1997

Did she go with her team and the parents stayed behind? OR only one parent went with her??

Agreed - MASSIVE news. Explains why Marion (under name Florabella) may have been persuaded to travel back to Australia, to withdraw the money. Then met a bad end… whether it was actually her who withdrew the money or not (I personally think not; why go to Bali when you’re going back to the UK to purchase a school?)

I have a suspicion that he might have changed his appearance while with Marion.
Dyed dark hair, and spray/ rub on tan and lipstick or lip dye. Is that possible plausible? if he couldn't attend regular events because he was disguised for that time. Ask his kids and wife about that!

So there was a "Bernard DuPont" on RSVP targeting women in Sydney in the early 2000.
He used a photo of a young handsome "model" french man to introduce the other profile.
Thousands of women online everyday looking for love.
I bet the info is still all in RSVP archives. The lady would need to login to her old account or RSVP could possibly search it.
The lady mentioned he used a younger photo.
This is potentially the tip of the iceberg.

That's exactly what I was thinking when I heard that bit! She needs to find that account and see what's there. Is his profile still there somewhere or did he delete it...

You are amazing. Great find. These dates and knowing if AKA and Mrs AKA attended could be very interesting indeed!
If AKA was the Treasurer, I hope the swim club is getting an audit done on their finances for that period (hopefully they have kept their records from back then) It may be a drop in the ocean if he did fiddle the books BUT it all mounts up as evidence as to his credibility.

Seems buying a school is a thing in the UK ... so he may have even got her as far as having in person discussions with one that would have made the con even more convincing.

I was surprised that Sally didn’t know about Ghislaine‘s engagement announcement ahead of time. I thought that information had come from Alison.

I do wonder if Sally would have a civil case given the number of chances to prevent AKA’s later behaviour that were missed. I suppose it depends on the proof of his behaviour, so perhaps not. But it’s an interesting thought.

I was just reading about the Privitisation of Schools in the UK in mid 90's and found that Councils were inviting Tenders for Contracts to run schools in the UK. Would this have been how Marion intended to "buy" a school? It would be interesting if this could be looked at as perpaps the records may still be available.
