Rules to attaining/maintaining a drivers licence on a disability pension are fairly stringent depending on your definition of disability. At least that’s the case in Victoria.

I do not know if AKA’s apparent health at the time didn’t allow him to physically drive (yet could flit around the world ad nauseam) or whether he/her were stating his licence had been revoked by medical professionals.

He owned about 6 cars here in Aust according the the inquest - that was probably in his name - who knows how many they owned in family names - Probs like the real estate they own /owned

Another of his stories about his ‘orse accident surely needs confirming one way or other. JMO but I believe it was a vehicle accident in the 1960s. Whether it was in a car or on a motorcycle (motorcross?).

Surely an investigative journalist worth his salt can find this out in Belgium? It would help to destroy his narrative from the very beginning.

Great stuff Mrs Peel. I suppose for thoroughness it should be added Marion mentioned Kent & Hampshire in addition to East Sussex, West Sussex & London on her postcards. Guildford in Surrey was also on the postmark. The gradual move west towards Southampton IMHO is perhaps significant.

Because that was where the Ashmore bank was that she held the account in and IMO it wasnt Marion so no one would know AH and or DdeH if they went to the area - IMO

There was a Colonial State Branch in BB in 1997. Absolutely no need to travel an hour to MB’s home suburb of Ashmore to withdraw. You can attend any bank branch in Australia where you hold an account to withdraw money.

Yes there was a WW a motorcross rider in the 1960s in Stekene in Belgium that you found. I wonder if one of our Belgium sleuths could rule that one in or out?

Yes we all know about the banks and where the branches are.

That is my point - AH KNEW people in that area - Northern NSW so that was WHY he and another female went to the GC to do the last transfer.

It would have been risky driving all those miles to get around the banks to withdraw the cash. I don't believe Marion was around at this point. Therefore I believe he had an accomplice who was very close to him. A female probably his wife.

Was it a school holiday and not term time at this time of the year?

I know we've run around the mulberry tree so many times about these cars, but why would he need a permit for this car, which can be used to get from A to B for reasons of perhaps selling, getting work done, or to get registered, or whatever else you would need a permit for - in the case of a crook, it could be for any number of reasons and THEN buy another bomb in August 97. This was the car that the salesman said had the "European looking" woman in the passenger seat. The Magna. So if she is in a car across the road and he is inside the car yard buying the magna, WHAT CAR HAS BEEN DRIVEN TO THE CAR YARD..... !

WE ALL know he drove, we all know he had licenses, we all know he lied and she lied = about the driving of cars. We found old newspapers with him in accidents for years and know he drove all through his years.
HE COULD drive and did drive.

Whether it was legal or not who knows - that wouldn't bother him. He thought he was above the law.

Your right we don't know for sure when he drove or not, apparently he did catch the bus a lot because it was said DhD needed the car when they had only one , when they had 2 or 3 who knows, but he was dropped off by one of his victims out side town etc according to her story .

I wondered who dropped him off the days she gave him the lifts back.

The thing is we know he lies and maybe she lies but who can say for sure which lies can have some truths in between and we cannot say for sure that some things are true or not ....

Thats the problem with liars ...who knows for sure which parts to believe ?
