The tide was even higher two (2) days running back in a January 2021
  • WED 13 Jan
    • 9:05 am
      1.96m
    • 10:02 pm
      1.33m
  • THU 14 Jan
    • 9:53 am
      1.96m
    • 10:50 pm
      1.33m
This could easily account for MC's foot / shoe being found high on the beach and dry.... a 1.86m tide is a fairly high tide on the eastern states..... and 1.96m especially 2 days in a row......JMO....

Ah you're a lovely breeze Estelle, I immersed myself in the McCaan case and wow, that was an awakening to the sick part of the world.
Parents 100% shame on them for that obviously but also wasting people's time and resources.

Yes the McCann case was the first case I ever followed and I learnt so much about things I never really wanted to know about. I have always wanted them to face justice before they or I die. What a waste of money that case has been and they are still trying to pin it on someone else.

"Properly trained HRD dogs can identify the scent not just in whole bodies, but in blood spatter, bone, and even cremated remains. They can even pick up the scent left behind in the soil after a body has been removed from a grave."

I'm amazed at what Cadever dogs can do. The link I provided just before expands on things but I just wanted to say I didn't think of the difference between search & rescue dogs and Cadever dogs until now, one is trained to detect living humans, the other, dead/decomposed.

How amazing they can detect cremated remains but especially how they can ON THE BREEZE smell fallen scent of someone who has carried a dead body.

Just recently Cadever dogs detected graves in Croatia more than 3000 years old! I love dogs and all animals, each has a genius we as humans cannot come close to possessing and our machines inspired by them still fall short.

Truly remarkable, albeit I find it quite repulsive when I can’t help wondering “how do they train these dogs?” Gosh, I hope they used some kind of synthesised scent that replicates human remains and not real human tissue.

My thoughts also.

Yes they do use a scent rather than dead humans.... ;)
The dogs are very clever...!

Apparently the scents they use aren't available to the public (some people train their personal dogs to be Cadevers then volunteer the service out to smaller L.E organisations who don't have the means to keep Cadever dogs year round) so these owners will use their own blood in training them.

Bits of placenta etc are used by the government organisations that train Cadever dogs and whatever favours they're owed to get those goodies, we're not, so if you want to train well, nick yourself...

Haha I'm not sure if some in this field are trying to assuage our doubts because one article says synthetic scents and others say placenta bits from the nearest medical waste facility...

Apparently to train the dog to achieve 95% accuracy, the highest rate, real human remains are required.
Don't want to risk a building collapsing on you because a rat was buried somewhere inconvenient...I guess?

Phew...thank goodness for that :)
There is quite an amazing Police Search video that shows the use of dogs as well - from the UK Sarah Everard Case this week.
(Thread is currently closed for comment on WS but you can still see video here .... (Dogs are towards the end - from about 5.17 on video ) I found the whole video interesting as we don't tend to see Police do this while filmed in Aus...

Oh wow. That’s really interesting.

Agreed. Dogs are amazingly cleaver. My Weimaraner is awesome at sniffing out and tracking down green tree frogs and geckos. He indicates by pointing (can hold the pose for ages) and just waits for someone to relocate it somewhere safe. He doesn’t move whatsoever, he is so focused on his prey that he doesn’t respond to us calling him or offering treats. When he’s locked on to a target, he locked on solid.

Weimaraner’s are excellent hunting dogs. I’m impressed your dog has the willpower to just stare it down!

I have never considered it before, but after tonight’s forum posts, I could now imagine that a Weimaraner would make a great cadaver dog.

A little bit of info on what Police can find on the data stored in modern cars:

That data is stored in the car's many computers - information is stored by up to 70 computers contained in each car allowing it to become a major law enforcement tool that, depending on which car you’ve driven, can track all your movements, exact routes, who you’ve spoken to and even when you’ve opened the doors.

Law enforcement agencies, including police forces in Australia, are now using ‘vehicle forensics’ software produced by companies like Berla that creates “solutions for investigators to identify, acquire, and analyse critical information stored within vehicle systems to uncover key evidence that determines what happened, where it occurred, and who was involved”.

According to Berla, there are three key categories of information a vehicle can contain that can be crucial to a police investigation. These include:

Vehicle events: The car stores event logs allow investigators to know everything about a car from gear shifts, speed logs, odometer readings, when the car was turned on and off, and even when fuel was added.

Location data: This includes navigation information such as track logs, saved locations, active routes and previous destinations.

Connected devices: Smartphones that have been connected via the USB ports, Bluetooth or wireless network can be identified, along with all of the data associated with those devices. We’re talking phone contacts, calls, texts, social media feeds and everywhere you’ve been.

That information will still be there, even if you’ve deleted it all from the device itself.

Vehicle data is the latest police forensics tool (whichcar.com.au)
That's blinking crazy! All that data being stored, it will be to train the robots.
Total Recall Judge Dredd etc it's imminent, I see fleets of A.I on the horizon, the one controlling my car malfunctioning because a solar flare whacked out it's hardware and its head is spinning 360° as it tells me in between microsleeps and neon blue flashing eyes that I'm safer locked in the car where the fire is! And to remain calm/seated for my own safety!

Thanks for the link HJ:)

This article says Audi seized by the Receivers .....

And....

Yesterdays article states Audi seized by the Police....
Melissa Caddick’s husband Anthony Koletti seen for first time since foot found | Daily Telegraph

Which one is an assumption? Which is true? Or neither true???

Is it true MC was renting the Audi?

If so, am I correct in saying it's not her possession/asset and any payments made prior to the raid are likely non-refundable or transferable, meaning if MC had paid 3 months in advance then AK is allowed to continue driving the car until the end of the pre paid duration?

Yes! This is exactly what I’m talking about.

Slightly off topic but a previous work acquaintance of mine bought a BMW X5 2nd hand and did a weekend trip from Sydney to Melbourne & vice versa. On the return trip this person hit some local wildlife (I think it was a too). Anyway he panicked as he hadn’t purchased insurance for the car so he quickly purchased a comprehensive policy & was lucky enough to be able to continue the drive home. The next day he contacted RACV & unsurprising the claim went straight to the fraud team as it was a new policy. He was going to continue to lie about when this collision occurred when a kind lady from the fraud team warned him that BMW actually records the date & time that any collisions occur & some code is generated to record that the vehicle has been involved in some sort of impact. The code doesn’t lie!

Anyway the guy ended up withdrawing his claim & driving around with a dinted X5. Do I think AK could have done something bad in either car? Atm I think no, but the cars data & his phone data will tell the story, or at least part of it.
I neeed to knoooow

MELISSA CADDICK TIMELINE 2014 to 2016

From Caddick’s investment strategy: "Our portfolio management strategy is a simple one. We maintain our strategy always, we provide clients with the information we have agreed and we identify stocks in the Australian Market that offer both income and growth to outperform the All Ordinaries Index. I personally have exposure to all stocks that are held in client portfolios. This does not present a conflict of interest. This provides comfort to clients that I personally have the same exposure and risk. At anytime we hold up to a maximum of 10 stocks listed on the ASX. These are large to medium cap stocks. We require up to 50% autonomy on your portfolio at anytime. We require this so that we do not miss opportunities presented in the market. If you are not comfortable with this level of autonomy please let me know."

Ok, it's getting close to the time when I post timelines of a few people so that you can see how they were all in the same foreign countries at the same time. Meaning MC and others.

Could be coincidence, but perhaps not.
