The media stated that MC was farewelled by a "handful" of mourners.

My gut feeling is that Anthony Caddick, her ex-husband, wants nothing to do with any of this. Otherwise, his son would be living with him by now but the media is stating that OC is still living with AK. Either OC went to school that day or his photo is off limits.
Then where is OC at the memorial service? Someone must have been with him..

I think the Google Street View car might have spotted Melissa out the front of her "Principal Place of Business" address in September 2013. Is this her checking the mailbox?

2YorkPlace-Sep2013.png

The screenshot shows Google Maps Street View for 2 York Place, Kensington NSW 2033, in the September 2013 version (via the little historical-slider thing which was not available for me when I used an older device, so maybe it's only found in some versions of Google Maps?). I'm hoping this link will go to the right place and time: Google Maps

2 York Place, Kensington NSW 2033 was the Principal Place of Business address for Maliver Pty Limited between 18 June 2013 and 31 October 2013, according to "Redacted Affidavit of Isabella Lucy Allen affirmed (pdf, 6.9 MB)", filed 15 December 2020, available in the ASIC v Melissa Caddick - Online File, or here's a link to the individual PDF. (The Kensington address is shown on the 10th page of the PDF - labelled "1" in the footer of the page - in "Current & Historical Company Extract".)

Nice find! That absolutely looks like her!

I cannot find the image now, but is that the same ute across the road that was parked at her home?

Marg944, I hadn't seen the ute in York Place. Well done! (I don't know which one you're talking about in "parked at her home": do you mean the Dover Heights house?)

Here's a wide view of the York Place street, from the ute on the left (parked next to the side of 17 B******* Road) across to 2 York Place on the right, where the woman is at the mailbox:

After the Street View car goes past I think it continues past 4 Y*** Place next door, and by the time it is just around the corner the camera (presumably looking backwards) captures the woman walking on the street near the ute. Here's a close-up of the view from about 34 Y*** Place:

And by the time the camera has moved just one driveway further away, to about 32 Y*** Place, the woman can't be seen at all - this is a wide view:

Maybe the Street View car stopped for a while and the woman walked away unfilmed; or maybe the woman turned around and went back to No.2. And maybe it wasn't Melissa anyway (the woman looks more solidly-built than I expected Melissa would look). But IMO it's also possible that it was Melissa and she got into the passenger seat of that ute.

Yes, Stormbird, I meant at the Dover St house. There was a ute parked there also.

Marg944, I can see two utes that are white single cabs, and that was back in Nov 2009. I think they're both too different to be the one in Kensington:

For comparison, this is the ute (with woman) in Kensington, Sep 2013:

Did anyone watch tonight's 60 Minutes segment about Anna Sorokin? They were drawing parallels between Anna and Melissa. Both the presenter and an author of a book about Con People (who has interviewed many of them) both agreed that it seemed someone else would have known about what Melissa was doing.
But with Melissa no longer being alive, we'll never know who that person is.

The author said that con people love to talk about what they are doing, as long as it is under condition of anonymity. Because they feel quite clever getting away with what they get away with, and enjoy talking about it.
They don't feel bad because they take from the wealthier people among us.

The author also said that it is exhausting keeping up the Con Person image 100% of the time. But they do it. And they are in danger of losing their real self, because they have to keep the con image up all of the time.

As well, the author said that they don't think they are going to get caught, not when they get away with it for so long.

Anna Sorokin .... "[Others] portrayed me as someone very manipulative, which I don't think I am," she says. "I was never too nice of a person. I was never trying to talk my way into anything. I just told people what I wanted and they gave it to me, or I would move on."

AK has been approached to do interviews for money but has declined.

"Strewth hears at least two commercial networks have been badgering Koletti with big cash incentives to air the family’s dirtiest laundry on national TV. Even though his wife’s disappearance has left him without any income and police sources say they’ve no drama with him doing a paid interview, the one-time hairdresser has so far refused to return the calls."

The 49-year-old's father-in-law, tax agent Rodo Koletti, has been probed by police who are preparing a statement for the coroner.

When asked by officers if he believed Caddick was dead, Mr Koletti responded: 'I do not feel police have to date provided enough information for me to form an opinion one way or the other if Melissa is dead.

'How much of the mysterious foot was found in the shoe, how was it severed, how do they explain that forensic scientists stated that it was unlikely the shoe had been in the ocean for less than two weeks?'

Tomorrow, Wednesday 21 April 2021, is Melissa's birthday. She was born fifty years ago, 21 April 1971, in Sydney NSW.

- Birthdate is shown in the details for director/secretary of Maliver Pty Limited in the Current & Historical Company Extract, "Redacted Affidavit of Isabella Lucy Allen affirmed (pdf, 6.9 MB)" filed 15 December 2020, via the index at ASIC v Melissa Caddick - Online File, or this link goes to the individual PDF. See page 11 of the PDF, labelled "2" on the page footer.

Our Queen of Fraud was born on Queen Elizabeth II's real birthday 21st April and so was my son! My daughter was born on 20th April which is Hitler's birthday and so was my daughter who turned 40 today!

I just did a search for Melissa's details at the National Missing Persons Coordination Centre (Australian Federal Police) and Missing Persons - Enquiry (NSW Police Force) and there was no result from either of them. Months ago I saw her profile on both, so IMO either my searches aren't working properly now or her profile has been removed.

Interesting point in this article. The police wouldn't give AK's father a copy of the statement the father made to the police. He says that after he made his statement he checked that it was accurate and he signed it. But once they told him that he couldn't have a copy (which he claims is a betrayal of his personal rights) he withdrew the statement.

He was told he couldn't have a copy because there were too many leaks to the media. And that an unsigned copy of his statement would be given to the Coroner, regardless.

He doesn't mention exactly what he said in his statement.

He says that he doesn't know what he (the father) was doing on the 11th and 12th (of November) and reinforces that even if Melissa's business documents were sitting in front of AK, that AK wouldn't know what they were. He doesn't seem to have a very high opinion of his son's intelligence. imo

He also says that AK and Melissa were happily married. I wonder how he knows that? I thought he hadn't seen Melissa in a long time, and only saw her a couple of times.

And now the foot has been cremated there is no chance ever of it being re-tested for DNA or any other evidence.
