I'm not sure that it was MC who stole from her parents' home for the boyfriend. It probably was, but it could also have been just the boyfriend lifting things when he visited.

It might even be that the things and cash that went missing were Melissa's own.

Wow, she owned a ski lodge? Wonder whether it was mortgaged or she paid it outright.
I thought she rented it? Although she told plenty of people that she owned it.

That's the point . . . we don't know whether the DT has new information or is just confused. Rented one, told people she owned it, named it in her will, and really owned another? Surely unlikely.

Probably a little unrealistic for AG to do that. It would be less expensive, if AG wanted to carry AK, to set him up in a far less expensive one bedroom flat elsewhere.

I found out that AG owns an apartment in Bondi (address used on Power of Attorney document) which has probably been empty since he moved in to look after his parents after Melissa disappeared. AK and OC could have moved there. Also Melissa's parents have three bedrooms so AK and OC could have put two single beds in the third bedroom and been living there. But they all act as if money grows on trees.

BBM I concur. I find it really distasteful that he keeps harping on about this.

It sounds to me as if AK's father is protecting him.

But money disappeared from her parents' home. Surely only Melissa would know where the money is.

How did you find out he owns the apartment, as opposed to did own but has sold it, or was renting it? That document was prepared years ago.

He is, but I believe it well enough anyway. Melissa doesn’t sound like the sort of person to have shared an awful lot of information about her activities with other people. I can imagine presentation of her carefully crafted facade extended to those closest to her. Questions are awkward and she was all about keeping up appearances. Amateur speculation, of course. I didn’t know her but I kind of wish I could have - she’s fascinating, in a kind of awful way.

From my timeline:

2/2010 AG buys apartment 405/1 Adelaide Street, Bondi for $450,000 which does not seem to have ever been let and has not been sold in those years. This address was used for the Power Of Attorney address in 2016.

Thank you, now I remember you posting that. I wonder how complete the information is. Where I rent, the place is listed on that site but has no rental or sale history given. How does where you live compare--is the data correct and complete?

I have never posted this before as I did not wish to expose AG's address. I have found that the data is usually correct on these sites unless the owner let the property privately to a friend. But sales are accurate. My prediction is that this is where AG was living BEFORE the raid and when he goes to Singapore, he simply leaves it vacant.

Estelle, the Enduring Power of Attorney document shows a different address. See the PDF Redacted Affidavit of Jennifer Williamson (pdf, 32.5 MB), filed 26 November 2020 from the index at ASIC v Melissa Caddick - Online File. For me the page is 15 of 42 in the PDF, or it's handwritten as "13" in the footer of the page.

According to onthehouse.com.au, the address in the affidavit has been listed for rent three times since the EPOA was signed on 15 Sep 2016: 23 November 2017, 12 March 2020, and 07 May 2020, but maybe "listed for rent" means it was advertised but not rented?

Must have dreamt it :)

Yes listed for rent does not mean it was rented but I could not find this other address. Was it in Bondi?
