What are Ant's chances???.... not exactly zero, but not anywhere near what he expects.........
I know nothing about this sort of thing but is he really likely to get anything? This is going to drag on awhile, I feel sorry for everyone involved. And wow, Melissa just brought stuff to have stuff. It’s sad to think of lives being ruined over expensive jewellery and designer clothes. How meaningless in the end.

Did he mention how he will repay all his expenses over the years, such as numerous overseas trips, back into the pool of liquidated funds as they came from investor money - before he makes his own claims?o_O

Melissa is supposed to be dead so her expenses have to be written off. But not AK's, IMO.

I guess he has hired a lawyer who is only allowed to take instructions..

IMO the only thing AK has a claim to is the 'gift' from Canturri jewelers. I am keen to see their affidavit surrounding this 'gift' and their financial dealings with Melissa. Along with their proof of how they obtained the jewellery that she then purchased at extraordinary prices.

... and to give legal advice, which he is free to take or not.

I am curious to see Anthony dolled up , be-jewelled, coiffured, MaxFactored, in Melissa's wedding dress, a Gucci, no less, which Ant is claiming as his own property.........

The whole adventure was meaningless.. dying for dollars, such hysteria.

Courts are never to be taken for granted,, some judges can be suddenly afflicted with annoyance and take things to the limit... in Anthony's claim, it could go anywhere, really.

What I think might happen, and it's only my opinion, based on nothing more than a few years watching judges suddenly let their senses of humor unleashed... that he will be found to be entitled , but be awarded about $4.50.

I lean towards this outcome because it would take a judge not too long to work out how Anthony was fed , bedded , carred, garbed, polished, massaged, air lifted, housed, petted , and laden down with expensive bracelets and the like all thru funds acquired by crime.

Did Anthony know that Melissa was a thief ? a scammer, a fraudster?.. this will be Anthony's task at court, to convince a judge that he is as clean as the driven snow, merely a lowly hairdresser bedazzled by his undeserved good fortune.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

AK's claim sounds like the sort of thing that would arise in a divorce settlement to me: the divvying up the assets between the divorcing parties based on original cash investment in a property, contribution to its upkeep, etc.

However, this clearly is not a divorce case.

Frankly, I don't know under what part of the law -- if any -- that his claims fall.

Were he to claim to be a victim of her crimes, then I think he may get a hearing in some court.

Any lawyers out there?

An angry victim of Caddick has said this today in an article in the DT regarding AK's claims:

“He has no empathy, but a huge level of entitlement.”

In AK’s concise statement at point 8d he says that since November 2020 he pays approximately $500 per week towards care of MCs son....guess he forgot that he only had $1.95 in his bank as his Affidavit of 8 December 2020 and the family received that ridiculous weekly payment from December 2020 to February 2021... so what payment is he talking about and where did he get the money from as he only had $1.95 in his only account (his words in his Affidavit it) but somehow he forgot to mention his company bank account where his wage from Joh Bailey was paid into (details can be found in the Affidavit Michael Hayter and exhibit MKH re. Anthony Koletti)... as well as the many cash deposits! What were the cash deposits for I ask!
AK’s claim was that he was earning $70,000 per year hairdressing ...BUT according to his business bank statements (April 2017 to April 2020 ....incomplete years) ...AK earned $77,265 for the 3 years.
He was a kept man by MC (at the investors expense) and he now expects to continue being kept at the investors expense.

SHAME ON YOU ANTHONY KOLETTI!

I wonder how much of the $500 per week he spends on his cigarettes??

In AK’s concise statement at point 8d he says that since November 2020 he pays approximately $500 per week towards care of MCs son....

And I'm not sure how that has any bearing on anything. As a step father, it is expected of him to care for the step son.

If he's out of a job, has no other source of income and legitimately can't get work, and needs to support a child, then he trots down to Centelink like any one else does in that circumstance and applies for support.

I agree about the sense of entitlement.

I think I read that AC is paying child support still (I presume to AK). That must assist, I guess. This is a real mess. Perhaps AK is out of options ie no where else to live. I think AK still maintains that that Melissa is innocent so that is behind his demands.

I’ve read through the concise statement written for the parents. I’m not sure I understood all the legal arguments though. If that property is still under mortgage then even if the Grimsleys stayed, who is going to be paying the bank? Surely not Melissa’s “estate”? I can’t see NAB continuing with an unpaid mortgage for years. How would it even work?

I've only read that AC is paying his son's private school fees.

Koletti can delude himself till kingdom come about MC's behaviour but it won't wash with anyone living in the real world. Eventually he'll have to realize that he is a minority of one in that belief.

I think his entire claim is “MaxFactored”!

Next episode of Liar, Liar podcast is available to play:

When fraudster Melissa Caddick went missing in November 2020 police were informed that one person they should look into was her first husband Anthony Byron Caddick.

As well as being a serial con artist, Melissa Caddick was also a serial liar, and one of those innocent people whose life she tried to destroy to cover her wrongdoing was her first husband.

Melissa Caddick podcast: Anthony Caddick almost destroyed by wife

I’d be interested to read that, because I can’t find any mention of her ever working for a jewellers.

Kaye McClynont mentions at 25:09 in Ep 2 of the Liar, Liar podcast MC's mother Barb sent the Grimley family an email in August 2011 claiming that MC was working for a major jewellery company and that the job required commuting.

I gather that was just another of MC's lies in order to cover her trips out of the UK to meet Koletti.

"Oh what a tangled web we weave . . etc etc" - and could anything get any more tangled than this?
