It still beats me how MC was able to disappear from her house without any of the many cameras nearby picking her up.

It’s not definitive that all cctv footage in Dover Heights was captured, or that MC left at 5-5:30am the next morning. The door was only heard, not seen. Police also appealed for people to look at dashcam footage and said she was wearing Nike runners, but she was found with ASICS.

On the podcast today it was mentioned that there are only a few places she could have jumped directly into the ocean without hitting the rocks. There are a couple of small spots near her house she could have done that, but there’s also a spot in North Bondi, which isn’t far from her where that is also possible. It’s plausible that footage was mainly checked around the surrounding streets near her house but that they may have missed some houses due to home owners not being home or cameras not working etc. There are still some older properties in the area that don’t have cameras. Even in MC street.

Regarding the door, as was mentioned in the previous episode of Liar Liar, her son -- who said he heard the front door being used early that morning -- was in the gym at the time, 2 levels away from the front door. Makes you wonder how he heard the front door from there.

I've often thought that it could have been AK arriving back at the house after driving MC somewhere making sure he banged the door loudly so the son could hear it.

I don't know, I think if she planned anything, she would have kept him out of it. I don't think he has the smarts to hold up against LE IMO

That is true, after I posted this I thought "or he could be a lot smarter than anyone gives him credit for". He managed to get someone to bankroll his lifestyle for many years IMO

Yes he could be smarter than we give him credit for, but for MC he’s a convenient young, pretty (in her eyes), handbag for her to show off to everyone. It wouldn’t be convenient for her if he was smart enough to see through her lies and deception. IMO she was more than happy to bankroll her toy boy. She would have loved boasting about being with a younger man imo.

Is it MC slamming the door? Has she woken in a foul mood, pissed at AK for behaving like a child throughout the raid. Is MC deliberately getting out of there at 5:30am in case the AFP and ASIC turn up at 6 am again. Does she even watch the house for a little while to see if they come back.

This never made sense. How many teenagers have you ever known to be awake at 5:30 in the morning ... by choice. And the barrage of questions from a teen would be worse than the feds and asic. Maybe she just asked for a little head start...

On AK. I wonder about the phone call he makes to MC's potential client in Perth who eventually reports the conversation to Crime Stoppers. Is this a random number that AK casually finds on a piece of paper whilst doing his own sleuthing; or does he know the pass code to MC's phone therefore having access to all of her emails?

Are the emails from ASIC the day after the raid reminding MC of her court appearance the thing that prompts AK to go out searching for her that night?

Is he still in possession of that phone?

Also, yesterday I had a deep dive through AK's Raid album. There is a line he repeats throughout track 7 (Improper, Cruel and Inhuman). He says:
"This is the story of a young lady from a large corporation that tortured a lady for 14 hours"
I wonder why that line doesn't read: "This is the story of a young lady from a large corporation that tortured a innocent lady for 14 hours" If you are going for dramatic effect I would guess most people would add the word innocent...

IMO AK has probably been acting dumb since he was a young child as it paid off for him. Parents had low expectations of him.

IMO he was never held accountable for anything so has continued that type of behaviour into his adult life.

I agree.

He may have been an underachiever in school, and a lazy underachiever at his parents home. I think he has street smarts, and the dumb act works well for him.

I remember his dad saying they were there for him, that he knows where they live. But I think that he is smart enough to drain every penny that he possibly can from the situation.

Having gotten most of the way through the Liar, Liar podcast and followed this thread when I could, I'm gonna go with the idea that AK is exactly the person he appears to be -- precisely the opposite of MC, who was no person at all.

IMO, he wants what he had, and can't quite believe that he's lost it for good. At least until the next sugar momma sashays down the line. Or until the prawn farming or music career finally takes off.

(I'd add a "whichever comes first," but I think we can guess that one.)

I wonder what led the the AFP/ASIC to discount AK's involvement in the fraud. We hear nothing of the authorities wanting him to hand in his passport. For him to be presumed innocent so early in the case seems strange. I imagine most criminals would deny involvement and play dumb when faced with jail time until the authorities produced some evidence against them.

Also, I wonder why AK's affidavit dated 16 December on ASIC's website has been redacted and isn't accessible. Is it just full of defamatory statements about the ASIC investigator, or does it contain sensitive information about the case...
