Here are a couple of pics from MSM. Looks like the front door is up one level. In the other pic you see forensic police leaving - and their assistant in the foreground :)

Took me a few moments... I just spotted the assistant! ;)

But he wasn't from the north shore. Only rented there.
Lane Cove and Hunters Hill aren't north shore.
And no 'typical' north shore boys, IMO, walk around the streets and to the pub in bare feet - unless they're at the beach on holiday.
With 14 birds on the go it's amazing he had time to do any work on his pontoons.
Neutral Bay may be an expensive area to buy but a lot of people rent there as well and they aren't all the most upmarket members of society.
Just trying to bring some balance. The local NS papers are turning themselves inside out about 'how could this happen in OUR area'.
Give me strength. :banghead::twocents:

Actually LC & HH are both classified as North Shore... but you're right... he is more typical of the kind you find in LC & HH (my area! :) ) which is a little bit looser than Mosman!

If only the assistant could talk! Bet he/she knows who did this.

And which are both beautiful areas, and IMO preferable than the lower north shore. But no way could you say that he is a typical north shore boy in the way it's usually meant. :):twocents:

More evidence being taken away at the unit - And here is the assistant again - making sure no one gets past the stairs.

Someone on an earlier post asked about time frames for criminal trials in NSW. It depends on how complicated the brief of evidence is, but this will give an idea:

On December 6, 2012, Detective Inspector Bryson Anderson was murdered. The accused, mother and son, Fiona and Mitchell Barbieri, were in Central court yesterday for the start of the four day committal hearing.

30 Sep 09:30 Criminal Court 4 Central R v MITCHELL BARBIERI
30 Sep -09:30 Criminal Court 4 Central R v FIONA BARBIERI

Slain NSW police officer Bryson Anderson has been honoured by family, friends and colleagues during a poignant ceremony of remembrance in central Sydney.

Hundreds of police officers gathered at the Domain on Saturday morning to pay their respects to their fallen colleague ahead of the force's annual charity motorcycle ride to Canberra.

The 45-year-old father of three was fatally knifed last year while trying to calm a neighbourhood dispute over a bird cage in Oakville, in Sydney's northwest.

Det Insp Anderson's widow, parents, children and brothers comforted each other as tributes were read out, and a wreath was placed at the foot of the NSW Police Wall of Remembrance.

Another MSM 'work-it-out-yourself' type situation

Looks like in the beginning (19th) they were gathering evidence, information and DNA samples...

It seems to me that once the DNA results came in by the 24th they were sure of who their murder was.

On the 26th it seems that they were retracing the steps of an alibi that they'd been given (quote below).

I think they know exactly who the killer is.

.

I agree.

I find it significant JO has spoken of a female perp.

How does she know?

One way they would reveal that detail to a witness is if that witness was treated as a POI at interview.

They can talk, it's us who are too stupid to understand what they are saying. :)

See, I didn't mean typical North Shore as being more up market, I guess I was calling what is actually LC or HH 'typical North Shore'. He is the type though that I was referring to. I lived inner east, so maybe the subtleties are a bit lost .. I guess there is a professional type that tends to live in that area too who are much more conservative, private schools, etc.

Thanks, nostoneunturned!

Now what of the 'upstairs neighbour' who heard noises? I wonder if he/she lives next door to the right in the photo. It looks a little higher than the apartments on the left.

Hello. Long time lurker first time poster. I grew up around here and am very familiar with this whole area. The units block Morgan lived in is large, 40 plus units. I believe the majority of them are 2 levels with the kitchen, living and dining downstairs and two bedrooms upstairs. All the floor plans I have seen have had the bedrooms sharing a wall. Such an intriguing case and so frighteningly close to home.

I found a real estate listing from the block here: http://www.realestate.com.au/property-apartment-nsw-neutral+bay-407696769

I'll see if there are others ..

I read somewhere that bedroom is 2nd floor.

Also, there is mention of an upstairs neighbour. But images of the building appear to show only 3 storeys total, so I'd guess they're on the middle level.

I have become more and more curious about the floor plan... And floor level(s) of Morgan's and JR's flat...
