GUILTY Australia - Morgan Huxley, 31, stabbed to death, Neutral Bay, NSW, 8 Sept 2013 #3

  • #821
Paramedics found Mr Huxley soaked in blood that was both wet and dry.

How long does it take blood to dry?

Depends on a few thing, I'd suppose. Temperature, air flow, how thick or thin the blood was in a given area. Anywhere from a few mins to half an hour or more, given the paucity of information.

Crown Prosecutor Peter McGrath SC has summed up his case against Daniel #kelsall. Defence Barrister Chris Watson now up @NewsTalk2UE

Watson: there were extreme lies told by the accused to police. That's the burden he wears... #kelsall @NewsTalk2UE

What he told you yesterday, was the truth... #Kelsall @NewsTalk2UE

Watson: he was terrified. Confused. If you look at him, you may consider him an immature young adult. #kelsall @NewsTalk2UE

Watson says there was no blood INSIDE the bag of #kelsall. The knife would have secreted if he carried the weapon away @NewsTalk2UE

Watson says #kelsall is socially awkward. Not overly engaging. That's why he's a target. A target by police. @NewsTalk2UE

A thought: #kelsall described as socially awkward by his lawyer. Despite the defence case stating he struck up a conversation with Huxley?

Watson highlights the fact that there were no fingerprints on the front or back of Huxley's apartment door. @NewsTalk2UE

Who is Daniel Jack Kelsall, the man accused of following Morgan Huxley home and stabbing him to death?

"Chillingly he just happens to be someone who had experienced intrusive, reoccurring, persistent thoughts about killing someone with a knife on the way home from work - a total stranger, someone random," Crown prosecutor Peter McGrath, SC, said to the NSW Supreme Court jury in his closing address on Tuesday.

Crown Prosecutor Peter McGrath SC asked the jury to consider “how plausible” it was that Kelsall “had all this bad luck on one night” to randomly meet and have a sexual encounter with Mr Huxley on the very night he was murdered.

It is expected deliberations in the trial could begin as early as tomorrow.
