Tuesday 7th 10am Bowen Hills Road Abbotsferd.

Wednesday 8th 8am Narangba Road Kurwongbah

???? Springwood @ 12.30 heading south

??? Tweed Coast Road near lights @ Kingscliff

Wednesday 9th Wooyung Road Pottsville
person said they saw it there the day before also (8th)
and thought it strange that the drivers window was down
with no one around at the time.
I think that first item should be, Abbotsford Road, Bowen Hills. It's very close to where Sam lived in Albion, but Sandgate Road is closer, and if his only objective was to head north towards Bald Hills (via Nundah) it would have been simpler to stick to Sandgate Road.

Not sure of any relevance .....

but there were multiple posts that the car in general
(in the past) ..... has been seen frequenting areas; Redcliffe, Everton Park and Chermside..

May or may not be of any significance...
He went to school in Shorncliffe, just across the bridge from Redcliffe, so it's likely he had friends in that area.

12am Wednesday – Deep Water Bend Reserve, Bald Hills

Chermside is a major shopping centre so living and having friends on the Northside he would have gone there

Everton Park - close by, may have had friends there, no reason he shouldnt have gone there (if that makes sense)

Yeah .....not suggesting anything .....

just added it like I said....... may or may not be significant.

Luckily ...... I think with the car being such a stand out Vehicle .....

People will remember it .....someone is going to have that vital peice of info to find out what happened to Sam...

I can't believe there has been no more information from QPS :( With 40 detectives working there must be some update.

I'd hope by now Police have clearly made the connection between his friends and friends of friends that Attended the Falls Festival last year and the Splendour in the Grass Festival ....

There seems to be a connection due to the proximity of the Venue site for these events .....something like 7km.... can't simply be a coincidence .....surely?

Lol....you were postning as I was typing...

It didn't take long to see there was a connection between some of his group and the area where his car was dumped.....

So I am thinking they are probably quite because they are working pretty hard sussing out these people and their movements ....

Maybe no news ....... means good news is coming.

Well not good...nothing good about the situation. ...but maybe some answers and some justice...

This is a shot from the video linked above. The driver does appear to have a beard, but I'm not sure if it's Sam. What do you think?

Not to cast any suspicion on the motorcyclist at all but do we know why he chose to speed up and get a view of the driver? Or were they simply wanting to see the side of the car? It definitely looks like he turns to see the driver not just the car.

My first thought was drugs...that's some serious cash being splashed and childcare workers certainly don't make enough to afford those things.Friends are vehemently denying any drug involvement though???
Strange...

Inheritance? Rich family? Have we heard anything regarding that?

The thing is, I did exactly the same thing when I saw that car so I kind of understand it. I tried to get a look at who was driving it.

I saw the car and thought (judgementally, I'll admit!!) 'OMG - who would choose such a flashy car?!' - so then I tried to see the driver. It was all about nosiness for me :blushing:

So I did all that and unfortunately I have ZERO memory of what kind of person I saw!! I recall it was hard to see them clearly though.

I went through all of his FB posts. I noticed the comment about clearing his debts back on 31 Dec 2014.

In Aug 2013 (when he was about 18 or 19) he was talking about not working too much. Talking about days off work and how things are going to be tight.

Then suddenly on 9 June 2014 - less than a year later - he said “Whoever said money couldn't buy happiness obviously wasn't making money”.
By Oct 2014 he was asking should he buy a Gucci hat for $300.

Since then it has been hot cars (3), big holidays overseas (3) with another future one planned.

He made a comment along the way about people starting to like him for money and not for himself. And about people stereotyping other people.

On 16 Nov 2016 he was looking for a room to rent in the Brisbane area - then was in Berlin, Germany, on 28 Nov 2016 - and now he is missing in Australia.

.
Robbery gone wrong would make the most sense if he had suddenly come into a lot of money and began flaunting it. Someone decides to take advantage, they go to rob him, maybe ST gets mouthy and one of the robbers or all of them retaliate taking things too far, they panic and take off with the car, at first hoping to keep it, then feel the heat and dump it, not in the best area because it wasn't thought through. People get very greedy when someone close to them comes into money. By close I mean it could just be an acquaintance, someone who lived in same building or someone closer.

Motorcyclists do a lot of overtaking. This one zoomed by really fast. I doubt he would have seen anything inside the car. If he'd wanted to look inside he could have driven alongside at the same speed as the Mustang for a few seconds.

Friend of a friend perhaps? .......

The car was left abandoned only about 6-7km from the splendour on the grass festival ...falls festival site in North Byron Bay ..... that some of his friends attended in January ....

Seems to be a rather big coincidence.... I mean of all places...why there?

Maybe Sam went also ..... maybe someone from the area, who has pegged him as a mark $$$$ ..... then stalked him..
To rob him....and it all went pear shaped?

Yes, I understand why you asked. I'd wonder that too if I hadn't been in that situation.

Thinking about it, a car like that just screams LOOK AT ME!

There are alot of expensive, beautiful cars in the Byron Shire....but they're usually WAY more understated. That car calls attention to itself and doesn't fit the vibe of this area at all, which is why I'm sure loads of people would have noticed it.

Agreed, whoever left the car there was familiar with the area enough to know there was a spot to leave it. Maybe a friend got tired of him flaunting his wealth, thought he needed to be taught a lesson.

http://www.smh.com.au/queensland/al...police-suspect-foul-play-20170313-guwypb.html

Relooking at the video of him leaving his unit...

To me it appears he was planning on leaving via the stairs (green exit signs above his head at end of corridor)....his body was directed firstly at that door...

He then stops..

He hesitates for a moment to look at his reflection on the lift (possibly metalic surface) and adjust his clothing ...... he then goes to open the door ... very quickly raises hands to head (quick thought, perhaps...)

Readjusts glasses again and ends up using the lift...

Is it possible Sam felt uncomfortable about his safety in someway ...to not want to use the stairs...??

They are huge festivals, I am in my early 30's but when I was in my 20's heaps of friends would go down to these festivals. Its a big deal. I dont believe its of significance where the car was dumped, I think it was far enough away from the Northside for the perp to 'distance' themself from it.
