Im sorry,have you EVER been through the selection process for the forces? I have and it is tough not only physically, but mentally. Thry actuallu grill you by a psych for an hour to see whether you are mentally stable and prepared. I failed this particular aspect of the process, so no, that is not why he was discharged.

DRB Can I just ask you this? When you saw the white Chrysler on the news did you ring crime stoppers and give them info? I have often wondered if anyone that knew AD did so?

I never gave it a second thought tbh. I live out west and didnt know if Ash still had the 300c and knew there was nore than one in the Albany Creek area

I dont know. Scott and Julia shut down their fb page pretty quickly and Im not going to o hassle pump them for info. They also have 2 other kids to consider and shield from this. I think alot of this may be PTSD and if he were doing ice he may have flipped out. My first impression of Sam from a photo was he may have been of middle eastern decent, maybe this was a trigger but going by recent developments Roberto seems to have done alot of the dirty work ..

I don't believe the PTSD card for one second and I doubt Sam was middle eastern. A beard doesn't mean he is middle eastern if thats what you meant.

I think ALL the parents were unaware of what their sons were up to. I know Ashleys parents are totally gutted with all of thus. They are a good,strong family unit. As for Roberto I can't say,the media is only fixated on Ash because of who he is.

Even if they knew maybe their sons did drugs or whatever couldve thought it was just small time youth having fun, not aware the major extent of it??

Ive done that trip.and it can take alot longer. Depends on traffic and route. Did they have roadworks or rbt? Who knows?

Yes it can of course take longer however it was a tuesday mid morning so u dont have to battle peak hour traffic and the like. However yes couldve been doing 'errands' or went to get some food etc

And absolutely - a beard doesn't mean anything more than a young guy taking up hipster grooming......Byron Bay is full of young guys with those beards :facepalm:

Both are charged with murder and interfering with a corpse, police are also looking into whether the home invasion was linked.
A lot more will come out in time.

Idk if you are familiar with Ice users if that is what it was. It takes 7 months foe their personality to change. I highly doubt any of them knew what was going on. They are decent people and I really don't see them condoning it.

It has been suggested that RB has been dealing since 13 and people have said he was a heavy user.

My thought process was if they were on the gear and the thing with Sam escalated, maybe PTSD kicked in and he was seeing someone other than who he was. I don't know how far involved in the "process" he was but I do know how PTSD works. I suffer from it myself and do double takes of people and situations that regress me back to my armed hold up. I wasnt suggesting he was middle eastern but spending all that time in a war zone with men with beards may be a trigger for him. This is just a thought/opinion

To me anyone who would go off to the middle east on their own accord to fight against ISIS and has failed the military tests IMO would have a hero complex, have violent behaviour or be somewhat mentally unhinged.
