I think it would be great if the police can nail them both for drug dealing charges as well. Will add more to their sentences. I hope the police have got evidence for it, and if they were dealing in Ice and harder drugs that can get them life in prison just by itself. So if the police have Sam's social media pages, then they will see the back & forth banter between them all.
Did police get any evidence from Sam's apt. once he went missing? He might have had drugs there? I guess if they did we won't hear about it just yet anyway because it's an ongoing investigation i believe.

I hadn't read that he was assaulted in the driveway. That's pretty brazen and stupid!

The attack could of started there and escalated to murder inside the house if that's true.

These are Inspector Trezise's exact words ...

He said he wasn't aware of Mr Dyball and Mr Thompson having any previous contact ...
http://www.brisbanetimes.com.au/que...onfirmed-as-sam-thompson-20170406-gvfma6.html

This could mean many things. It could just mean that in their investigation of text messages, FB, Messenger, etc. they have seen no contact between them. And Boscaino is not giving them any details. Sam is no longer here to speak his piece. The Inspector is not going to reveal what any witnesses have told them, to keep the witnesses from intimidation and to protect their privacy.

- But Boscaino apparently knows Dyball well (they committed a murder together, and possibly a home invasion and a car theft).
- And Boscaino knew Sam well. Well enough for Sam to visit him on multiple occasions apparently.
- Yelling was also seen between Sam and the 'person with the white car' several months ago, according to a comment on the Qld Police FB page.
- A local here has said that all the 'kids' in the area knew each other.

So, I think the chances of them not knowing each other, as friends of friends, or in some capacity, is really slim. imo

Not that it is a big sticking issue. One allegedly murdered the other. It will all come out in court.

.

Hit the nail on the head there

My iPad is nearly flat. I think the news video on Friday describing the driveway attack was Brisbane Times or Queensland Times. Part of a normal Story about the body ID. Just google Samuel Thompson news, or I will find it later.

I wonder if any of the locals know if Boscaino and/or Dyball have been involved with physically assaulting anyone before?

Although, I guess they could have assaulted Sam himself before anyway, if they were responsible for the home invasion.

BBM
He said police were continuing to look into whether Mr Thompson's disappearance was linked to an incident in September, where he was assaulted by masked men during a home invasion and had his vehicle stolen.

(Sorry for 3 posts in a row ... my mind keeps wondering about the COD/MOD, and why there is difficulty in establishing it)

Hello again,

When the story was run about the burglary initially, it didn't say ST or the female occupant were assaulted, only that they were threatened. The video does not indicate an assault, at least of a physical nature, from the video that was released.

On his FB page ST also did not mention being assaulted, he only mentioned his property being stolen.

Judging from the video that was released, it did not appear there was an assault (and if there was it was only seconds long) and there are a few other things in that video that don't quite add up with what's been said about the burglary IMO.

I did read in some news reports comments section that ST's father had said ST had finance on the car, was at risk of defaulting due to the assault during the burglary. But as I say, that's someone commenting what they read somewhere. But it didn't look as though there was a physical assault in the burglary video (of course ST may have had psychological injury from it) and the car it seems was not financed.

I am very grateful for our local posters contributions to this thread...

Your information helps us to better understand many things to try to get a clearer picture of the complete scenario...

Keep posting guys...your contributions are greatly appreciated..:tyou:

There's a few different "stories" Getting around about the drug side of things. I have a lad around the same age, who is not friends with any of the fellas in question but they all know each other/someone who is friends with them/know of them etc.

Thankyou Pi Thoughts...I never doubted your word...
My son was a lover of these particular cars as well...

It's just that one of our posters here (Karinna) asked me where I got the figure of $80,000 from, also another poster was comparing the prices of the Ford Mustang to a Skyline..:tyou:

ST had the SAMMO plate for a while, it was on his previous car, too. That was a 2014 Impreza.

Think st was already passed when that was captured

The police have said they feel ST never left RB's place alive.
ST left home at 9.20 am (in thongs, with his dog locked in so I'd think that indicates a quick trip and not expecting trouble?),
ST car then spotted on bike cam at 10.45 am on Sandgate Rd and it did look like him driving,
Police have said the Mustang was at RB's for a couple of hours,
It then was at the reserve from 1pm until midnight,
Then turned up in NSW the next day.

So I'd surmise once the Mustang left RB's it wasn't ST driving it as police said they felt he'd already passed away. Possibly left at the reserve while ST was disposed of. Then back later at night for the drive to NSW. You'd imagine that was both cars as the one driving the Mustang had to get home somehow and you'd not want to draw attention to yourself buying bus tickets etc?

Took pics of entrances from Sams apartment at albion. There are a few garage entrances with multiple doors and i couldnt determine which one he drove out of.

Yes, which would mean that Boscaino and Dyball were likely the drivers. Is it possible that Boscaino was the driver of Sam's car, which is why the police arrested him first? CCTV ID and possible DNA or fingerprints found in the car matching Boscaino? If he drove Sam's car from outside his place, CCTV from the pub across the street could very well have picked him up getting into the driver's seat.

Dyball arrested later as they pinned down the owner of the white car, and matched his phone pings - and possibly ID via an open car window caught on highway CCTV - to the route(s) that they drove that day, and the following day.

AD has a very distinctive number plate also so if they got a look at the Chrysler from an angle that showed the plate it's an easy find. And I don't know but if there was two cars and one was mine and the other a strangers, I'd drive mine and gave my mate drive the strangers car, so maybe RB drove the Mustang.

For the previous discussion about AD and his Passport, it was actually cancelled. Pretty serious stuff to get your Passport cancelled.
(quote)
His passport was cancelled after being interviewed by Federal Police when he arrived back in Australia.

AD passport was initially cancelled when he returned home. It was then reissued and he was able to travel to Fiji for a family occasion. His passport was again cancelled around mid last year when it was discovered he'd bought a one way ticket to Sweden.

Dyball was on the police radar continously by the looks of things. Pretty sure they determined early on that he was involved before they released the footage of his car tailing sams; id say they wanted to see what info the public had to offer while they tried to get together all the evidence. JMO.

I believe thats the case too. Does anyone think ST was in the car aready and they were on their way to dump him? Were they headed that direction, cant remember sorry.

The reserve is really close to RB house. The forest ST was buried in is further north, around 30-40 minutes.

I'd be interested to know how the police have decided ST never left RB's alive: was it due to dog detection or CCTV never showing him leave. Because when police first appealed for anyone who'd sighted the car to come forward, quite a few people were commenting they saw this car often up around the area where the forest is near to, very regularly like week day afternoons and weekends. It made me wonder if ST was taken up that way for some other reason and then when it went south was dumped there due to it bring handy.

Yeah its pretty funny. The culture is so strong that when u are meeting a new person, they might ask you are you a northsider or southsider? You dont need to tell ppl what suburb you are actually from. Most ppl stereotypically will also attend school on the same side they live on and only associate with other ppl from other schools on the same side, and as adults some ppl wont even cross over to live on the 'other' side.

Yes, it's funny hey. I've had friends who got good job on the south side and would commute rather than move there [emoji23]

Think because the mobile tower pings already showed dyball and boscaino at the reserve site on the 7th of March dumping the body the same day.
