The GoFundMe info is easy to find. Go to the website via Google, and then put Thompson in their search box. It will be one of the first few entries to click on and access .... just in case others want to know. :)

Noted from the 🤬🤬🤬 page, Sam's parents have been doing it hard for the last couple of years. We know that Sam has been flaunting wealth. Is this a perceived character flaw that led to peer resentment? Not trying to victim bash, trying to find a motive.

The GoFundMe page for the Thompsons has currently raised $2,030....Their Goal is $15,000.

The money raised will go to Bruce and Debbie to assist them to pay for "Sam's funeral" and "potentially buy them a little freedom from financial hardships"?..

Why would people be expected to donate to "potentially buy Bruce and Debbie a little freedom from financial hardships"?..:dunno:

Did a reconnaissance after work. RBs house is dark doesnt look like its occupied at all. The gates closed and the white picket fence has finger print dust all over it. I could see the side of the house has a small window which was a basement of some sort. Felt really ill and sorrow looking at the property. Couldnr see the CCtv at wetlands carpark either which was an issue that was bugging me previously. Either im blind or they are hidden. Also i ran into the same vehicle both at the wetlands and infront of RBs house in the same ten minutes literally [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] any blokes doing recon too?

Maybe thats why he had treated them to holidays to cheer them up?

I think that's great. A funeral is not cheap, and anything that would help his grieving family is good, IMO.

I bought a Bunnings tomahawk last year, and the brand is HART, for chopping out an old rose bush stump from the ground to get rid of it. It was pretty useless, and didn't do the job. An axe would of been better and a lot sharper. It would be okay to bash someone over the head with, because its heavy.
My husband being Native American has the real deal tomahawk, and we used to go out in the woods in Georgia where we lived and throw it so it would stick into the trees. That was fun. We had to leave it with his sister because we came to Australia to live, and because of not being able to bring something like that into the country. My stepson smuggled in some num chucks, and they went through all our luggage after that and confiscated his num chucks, lol.

One thing that I noticed on the GoFundMe page is that Sam's parents were alerted to his plight when friends contacted them saying that Sam was not answering his phone.
Also, he was reported as missing on 9th March. Then the media coverage started on 10th March.

I would imagine it is to fund the funeral and to give them time off work to grieve etc. I would imagine a funeral would take up a big chunk of that amount.

I just watched the tribute video on the go fund me page and I feel heartbroken for his family.:tantrum:

I know, my son's funeral back in 1995 was $7.000, and not sure what it is nowadays?

Oh i just realised it was a video and when i went to the page to donate i was in a hurry & i thought it was just a picture of Sam & his mother. I just now watched it and with tears in my eyes. It is a beautiful video and song, :(

I am sorry to hear about your son. We just buried my Mum and it cost $7350 including a beautiful red cedar casket ( she loved red cedar - although I accept the casket was probably pine stained to red cedar!) on the other hand my cousin was married to a wonderful Italian guy and he recently passed away. His funeral was $50000 plus. Marble etc etc. Personal preferences.

What I think is lovely is that police and MSM have given Sam's family a chance to do this their way. To notify family and friends, to put up their GoFundMe video and notification, to write some beautiful words and background about Sam, to honour their son ... before it is all over the media and the horrible details are again in their face.

Because if we know, then MSM surely know. I think they may have agreed to wait for the midnight release of news, and then hopefully they will include the Go FundMe information for all the public to see.
