Hi Amee. I just wanted to make it clear that I am not accusing the person I have identified, but am merely pointing out the fact that he has to be someone of interest, based on the evidence available to me.Some people have said this is wrong, but I have received overwhelming support from most others. Thoughts on this? I can't edit the original post to remove names, either.

IMO I thought it was great sleuthing.

Thanks guys! Yes, I believe we all have a right to speculate, the only issue I see arising from it is if people then took vigilante action against the individual.

I did have my suspicions on that person long before the Point Cook property was investigated and I did point this out to people accusing the boyfriend, purely because it just seemed too obvious, even though the ex appeared non too smart...

Welcome to websleuths, its good to see more aussies here.

I believe you did some excellent sleuthing, evidence that is available to us speaks volumes IMO.

probably best not to mention the person any further unless he is named as a POI.

Just having a think/ speculating about what has been stated so far- from details in this news clip

http://video.news.ninemsn.com.au/?v...-9862-20dae921fa11&src=widget:suggestedVideos

Last seen by her family on November 9.
She spent an evening out with friends, this was either on Nov 9th or 10th?

Her 2001 Astra sedan was found parked in Maribyrnong, western Melbourne, about 50km away from her home last Thursday night, which was Nov 15th.

Police used warrant to search the empty house in Point Cook Sat 18th Nov.

Neighbour states "few nights ago" heard power tools late 10/11pm.
Then it sounds like no one has been seen at the house after this point.

Where are the home owners now?? Are we awaiting news of a man/ Men Hunt?

Hi, my names is James Gow, or JG as you have put it... Someone told me you guys had mentioned my fb post here?

Hi James(JG) Welcome to web sleuths. I did originally quote you as I read your FB comments just as you posted them. Your "clue" on FB lead me to do my own "snooping"
I am glad you are here just so I can say well done for your pick up, I think your own sleuthing was spot on.

Look forward to anything else you can contribute.

ADDED - Another thing I found odd is that this person did not like the FB page listing her as missing. They were friends, why did he not like the page?

I understand this is a sensitive comment and not very nice but I am concerned about the state of the body. It seems that the body is hard to identify : ( I am saddened to be following another crime like this.

Since the media have mentioned to word 'manhunt' in recent articles but havn't said they are looking for anyone and no arrests have been made, I'm going to guess that shortly they will make a release that they are seeking this person.. Sometimes the media let slip little clues like this in their articles.

At first I thought maybe it could have been an accident, maybe they were partying too hard. Perhaps the person responsible panicked, maybe because they had been in trouble before.I gave the benefit of doubt.

But the fact that a search warrant was required to enter the house leads me to believe that the police received a tip off about the suspect.

Suspect in on the run.

Does not seem like an accident to me anymore. MOO

either way here seems like the best place for discussion about this, that facebook page has just turned into a flame war. I'm done there!

BBM. I watched the 8am news update on Sunrise this morning and it was reported that the police received a tip off leading them to the Fongeo Drive property on Saturday afternoon.

theres been mention that there were two males renting that property, IMO I wouldn't be surprised if we soon hear that there is a manhunt for both of them.

Unfortunately I have to get back to work, but I would love to continue this discussion tonight, hopefully we will have more info... until then!

PS. If they are looking for POIs, they really need to inform the public sooner rather than later...

UPDATE: A YELLOW Commodore has been linked to the investigation of murdered woman Sarah Cafferkey as the Herald Sun can reveal a suspect is being hunted by police.

The Herald Sun understands police investigating Ms Cafferkey's death set up a crime scene around a stripped-down yellow sedan on the Western Hwy near Bacchus Marsh on Friday afternoon.

It can also be confirmed a suspect has emerged in the case, but Victoria Police has requested the man's name not be published.

The Herald Sun understands police investigating Ms Cafferkey's death set up a crime scene around a stripped-down yellow sedan on the Western Hwy near Bacchus Marsh on Friday afternoon.

It is not suggested the owner of the yellow car is the suspect.

Images of a yellow car parked in the driveway of the house where Ms Cafferkey's body was found can be seen from satellite images of the property taken last October."

Folks just another reminder on posting about "rumours" from Facebook. This is not allowed on WS.

Also including a link to WS rules re social media...

Social Networks

Regarding Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, and other social networking or blog websites: Links may be used to direct posters to view something on a social networking page. But postings on social networking sites are not considered fact; they are rumor. Copying and pasting, or taking screen caps, directly from these pages is not allowed. Paraphrasing is okay. (Exception: If the Twitter or Facebook post belongs to a verified news station, it may be copied. But a link should still be provided.)
