Australia - Siege/Ambush at Remote Property - 6 Dead Including 2 Police/Neighbor - Wieambilla (Queensland)

  • #61
“Detectives now suspect the mysterious phone call that lured police to the property came from the killers, obsessed with prepping for doomsday scenarios.”

“They are looking at this possibility that they called NSW police and told them they 'think they know where he is',' a police source told The Australian.”
'He was the bait.'”

BBM. Wow. Just wow. This is a disturbing (suspected) development indeed.

BBM. That had actually been my assumption since this attack was first reported.

What I don't get is why they did this now, given all the effort and expense that the various end times preparations must have cost. Was there some specific trigger than sent this plan into action?

It almost seems that they had to draw the police to their place, otherwise they could have sat there for the rest of their lives waiting for someone to shoot at and kill.

The couple at the centre of the Wieambilla shooting posted chilling footage after the attack claiming that they had killed “devils” and “demons” on their property.

Videos and comments posted online appear to show the perpetrators anticipating and then admitting to carrying out the killings.

Wow….utter crazies.

It seems strange upbringings, family break
Ups, paranoia about the govt, anti vax, conspiracies, and drugs thrown into the mix has created volatile monsters. It was reported Gareth was also on the autism spectrum which contributed to his volatility.
But also, considering they were all teachers, harboured smarts about what they were planning.

Nancy,

I think that Gareth character was actually a groundsman throughout 2011 - 2016, but yes, it has been confirmed by the Education Dept in Queensland that he was a former employee.

He wasn’t a teacher or a Principal. Am guessing he also did not go to University. IMO

What a creep.

Female cop killer 'shot dead running from house with rifle'

EXCLUSIVE: Female cop killer's last moments: How woman who married BOTH brothers at the centre of police ambush was shot dead as she ran out of fortified house with a rifle during 90-minute gun battle

Another Qld siege late yesterday. By one man who has since been arrested. No reasons given. Eerily coincidental that this happened days after two officers and a neighbour were shot dead in the first siege.

This is a really disturbing and terrible case. Stuff like this does not happen all that often in Australia.
It seems that two of the assailants, Gareth and Stacey Train were in contact with an American online preacher and conspiracy booster they called Don. He also claimed he had been in contact with them. But no one is saying who it is.
Here is a story about it, with a picture of the preacher:
American conspiracy theorist claims he was in touch with doomsday prepper killers who murdered two cops and a neighbour as he shares their deranged final words to him

BBM

“Stacey and Nathaniel Train worked in a string of regional state schools but were unvaccinated — a decision that put an end to their careers.

Stacey Train quit her job at the Tara Shire State School on December 16, 2021.”

Sources close to the family say the COVID mandates and restrictions made the unemployed 45-year-old mother of two more vulnerable to the conspiracy theories held by her husband Gareth Train.”

'We killed them': Extremist views of police shooters exposed in video posted night of massacre

IMO her only ticket out of that house was the fact that she got to attend work 5 days a week.

When the shoot out/murders occurred, Stacey Train had been unemployed for just under 12 months (AFAIK).

I wonder to what extent her work mates (if she had any) were able to stay in touch with her in that 12 month time frame after she resigned?

"We respectfully request media outlets, including social media platforms and traditional media outlets, to remove this content from their platforms and discontinue broadcast, if they have not already," the statement said.

"We also urge members of the public not to re-post or share this content."
QPS have basically said everything but “don’t view the content.”

I still think this shooting/incident was a clear example of domestic terrorism. IMO

It’s the weapons strewn across the creek for me.

It looks like this particular witness did everything right, and even reported the incident to police.

I just have no words.

The fact that it was reported that he just ditched his car along with the contents which included weapons should’ve raised red flags with authorities. It probably did to some point but the farmer was alert enough to realise something wasn’t right, yet authorities didn’t as much. The car is still at his property

Now an ABC investigation has confirmed Nathaniel Train broke through the border gate on the Boongangar Bridge over the Macintyre River to enter Queensland in December 2021, months after his resignation from Walgett Community School.

The state's land border had opened just days earlier but only to people who were fully vaccinated.

A Queensland farmer in the Goondiwindi region who asked not to be named said he had contacted police about the incident after finding Train on a flooded road near the border.

The farmer said Train had tried to ram his black Toyota LandCruiser through the border gates.

When that failed, the farmer said Train used an angle grinder to cut the padlock on the gates and drive into Queensland.

The farmer said he found documents near where the vehicle had been, including some that identified him as Nathaniel Train and outlined his work history at a NSW school.

He said he contacted police about the vehicle and the border breach, fearing the car might have been stolen.

Police told him because the vehicle had not been stolen, there was nothing they could do, he said.

Weapons strewn across flooded creek bed

Hours later when water began receding beside the vehicle, the farmer said they began finding weapons.

He said that among the items Train had ditched in the creek were at least three firearms – "short scrub sort of weapons" and ammunition.

He said the firearms were retrieved from the water and found to be loaded.

He said he contacted police about the weapons and they were eventually taken away.

"They were short-range weapons,'' he said.

"We assumed they were either stolen or unregistered. I rang the police a day after to report it."

As of this Friday, Train's Toyota LandCruiser 200 series was still on the farmer's property.

Checks on the 4WD's registration plates have revealed the vehicle had been registered in NSW until October 28, 2022.

"There was also a lot of hunting gear, camo gear and there was a bow and a target for shooting things.

I can't stand to look at their faces.
For some reason I get the worst feeling seeing the grinning face of Nathaniel Train.

I think the trigger was the fact that a missing person’s report was made and police subsequently appealed to the public for the whereabouts of Nathaniel Train.

Seems as if - if this prior incident was investigated fully - Nathaniel Train's proclivities might have been discovered so much sooner. It might have revealed that the police needed to have these people on their radar.
