Kristen Leslie Olsen: Biggenden baker murder case delayed to 2026

“The woman charged with killing a baker and his daughter must wait until February for her next court date as supreme court sittings dry up.

The woman accused of murdering a Biggenden baker and his 10-year-old daughter will face a six month wait before her matter is next mentioned in court.”

Ms Olsen’s lawyer, Bradford Hill, appeared via telephone at Maryborough Magistrates Court on Tuesday, 2025.

He said he was seeking an adjournment so the matter could proceed via a registry committal.

The matter was adjourned until February 10, 2026.
Ms Olsen was remanded in custody.

Only couple of weeks now until the 10 February. The explanation of a Registry Committal from the Queensland Court site Registry committals, below:

Registry committals

A registry committal is an administrative process completed by the registrar or clerk of the court. It can save time and costs because it replaces the need for a Magistrates Court committal hearing.......

and

....... The parties must agree: The defendant must be legally represented and the parties must agree to the charge(s) being committed to the Supreme Court or District Court for sentencing or trial. The registrar can’t decide whether there’s enough evidence to put the defendant on trial for the indictable charge.
