I feel that the extent of her injuries potentially indicates an extreme rage that you’d find associated with some domestic violence perpetrators i.e. current or past intimate partners who murder, where the perpetrator is driven by a sense of ownership of the woman and a hate and selfish anger when she doesn’t do what he wants. Often this coincides with her leaving or trying to end the relationship, or getting another partner. Another possibility is that the murderer was high on ice; there has been cases of extreme violence associated with ice in Australia and overseas. Either a stranger or known person could have been high on ice. I personally think a stranger is unlikely. We know that the vast majority of murders are committed by known persons. I realise these points have been made by others - just adding my voice to the theories
