I'd say whoever posted about phone pings earlier is on the right track in regards to the CCTV footage - this tower is directly across the road from the fuel station where the footage came from. Not sure how phone pings work per se, but I'd say this might be the only spot in the area where you can get a phone ping and video footage at the same time. Whether it's the victims phone or the murderer's phone they are trying to link will all come out soon hopefully.

Yep, I think it's the best lead the police will have. They were searching in Moody Creek, which is down in Cairns right? So I wonder if her phone showed up as being dumped there?

I think they no longer lived together, if they ever did. I believe he lives in PD, Not sure where she lived. But it was never confirmed that she returned home after the markets. We are assuming that she did to collect her dog. And don't people usually have their partner as a FB friend? Back to the local kids who said she had split from bf 3 weeks before her murder.

Wasn't it his mother who set up the 🤬🤬🤬 page?

No it was a girl named Carmen. There are public photos of them together on FB and I don't know if he went back and forth between dating this girl and dating Toyah or he is just good friends with her. The girl who helped him find his dog is named Caity.

I remember you mentioning this in the first thread. Given there has not been much confirmation about their relationship and living situation I wonder if the police are keeping their cards to their chest. However, if she had groceries that would indicate to me she went home.

Can anyone zoom in and see what is on the back of car 42 white ute. Is that camping gear that has been thrown in "hastily".

It seems like the Cairns area is a very dangerous place for women. Looking up sex attacks in the area over the past few years there are quite a lot! And a few recent ones seem like the same guy, an Aboriginal man in his 20's, targeting the same area that Toyah lived. Not saying it was him, there are other sickos as well up there, but I've no doubt that the police would be looking for links. I've posted just a couple from the police website. I know if I keep looking I will find a lot more.

I thought police would have edited their video of the cars and the collection of stills as the investigation progressed and people came forward. Quite a few of the local news outlets that have Facebook pages reposted the video and for days now 100’s of people are tagging their friends and aqaintances and saying for eg: “Hey mate, is that you in car #x.” These kind of comments show how effective this campaign for information is but a few times the tagged person has replied, saying that yes, it was them and they’ve been in touch with LE. However no update by police stating which cars are now eliminated means that video and photos are still posted...and now many of the 68 drivers have been identified on SM....Well, I just hope that no sort of vigilantism comes out of this... I’m slightly anxious that people going about their daily lives may be the target of local sleuthing...

Not to mention that the actual stills posted would have been easily able to identify each car owner at least by number plate as the original footage would have been allot clearer than what MSM has put out.

Nor me, that is just horrifying. How fortunate then that her father actually found her?!? The mind boggles. Makes even more sense then why the dog was tied up. (Excuse the horrible thought there)

Yeah I agree Katkat, it makes more sense now about the reason of the dog being tied up.

I tried and I could see that the car in question looks like a businesses car as the sides of the tray seem to be white with signage on them. Having travelled on that road on the 5/11 I noticed allot of recent road works have happened to the north of that point but very close. Allot of work done on roads is contracted out in qld rather than coucil possibly a loner worker has gone down the beach for a quiet lunch by himself and been tempted. I did see a roadwork type truck on the footage as well.

The poor dog Indie was tied up so tightly she was unable to even sit. Seems a good reason you would do this other than cruelty and concern about digging would be that you are familiar with the dog and know that she is a chewer? A long lead/rope would mean she could have escaped.

And possibly knew it wouldn’t be tied up for too long. I saw on a post much earlier that referred to the two guys with that flat tyre that said that their was also a report of a white ute tailgating people and speeding to port Douglass late on the night of the crime on the previous thread, but have not been able to find it since.

I don’t think police were able to get any plate info from this footage...a policeman working on the case mentioned this difficulty on a recent radio interview (specific quote regarding the low quality of the footage at m3:20s).

Not that it matters, but in the footage #57 DIDN'T go through the intersection between red car & #58. Please see photo. Thanks. Cheers. Peace.

Toyah's mother said in her statement that Toyah was reported missing by her boyfriend. I am assuming they were still together.

'You can help our broken family': Mum of Toyah Cordingley calls for help with murder probe
Toyahs parents live in Woree / Bentley park , dad lives Westcourt , boyfriends family in & possibly boyfriend in port Douglas , toyahs mum said she had left home ( sounded like recently ) crowd funding said Toyah and boyfriend lived together , not sure where she actually lived or if she lived with boyfriend & if it is important to case ..
I have said from day one -IMO I think it is someone she knew - either she’s in a r/ship , or they wanted to be in a r/ship with or she is mixed up with some bad stuff .

I think the QPS are putting the pieces together-
