I wonder why you would drive 40kms to a particular beach? Was this beach special in some way?

I
I do find the BF's absence in the funeral service interesting, perhaps they were not very fond of him...
thought he was at the funeral ? Not mentioned in the funeral notice

Yes, the father was too distraught to speak, but someone read a poem he'd written saying among other things that now Toyah would never leave him.
I think she has a father , and a step father that has be in her life for a very long time

Am I mixing them up? Or do you mean the stepfather's presence in her life explains something about the poem? I'm not saying it was odd exactly, but it could read different ways. Of course if you're recently and traumatically bereaved, you're not going to be hyperalert for possible ambiguities.

Hi everyone - I find all of your posts very interesting and slowly painting a picture of Toyah and the sad circumstances of her final and lonely moments. Does anyone know if her mobile phone, keys, wallet and clothes were recovered? I saw that the Wangetti Beach search by Toyah’s friends was looking for these items. Her mobile phone would provide valuable intel about anyone she may have been communicating with before heading to Wangetti Beach to walk Indie. Just thinking out loud.....
I am curious about where her belongings are. Either in the sand somewhere or the killer took them.

I don't know her at all, so to say she would or wouldn't isn't something I can answer. If it's been flagged as fake, as someone posted, anyone could be involved.
As far as I’m aware they’re saying Toyah’s is fake but not MH’s? But I’m not sure.

I believe they have been taken and disposed of, as they are also unsure about clothing I am assuming they too may also be missing.

Hey Oddsocks it’s great to see you!

I just can’t imagine Toyah taking her bag etc onto the beach. I’d hide my handbag in the car.
I imagine Toyah might only take her keys or maybe a hat and sunglasses when you walk a dog with no phone service on a beach, maybe not even thongs.
Unless her murderer took her keys to access her car for handbag etc.

Is there another one that only names Toyah? I tried to search but may have missed it. I saw something with Toyah's family asking for donations to Yaps, which I take to be an animal shelter. I wondered if the MH GoFundMe had originally been in Toyah's name and was changed after meeting opposition.

Oh maybe but I thought there was a Toyah one listed in BS+S of all places and it was taken down but maybe you’re right.

Ok this blog article is very interesting
SOMEONE KNOWS SOMETHING

Especially these detailed parts:
There are ample designated off-lead areas for dogs to run and socialise, away from the hustle and bustle of people, on the northern beaches, and wonderful opportunities to beach-comb, breathe, run, relax.

It appears Toyah was familiar with the area because she was closely connected with the Paws and Claws animal shelter at Port Douglas, further north on the highway, and because it is understood her partner of more than two years, Marco, worked as a chef at nearby Ellis Beach Bar and Grill.

It stuck out to me in that blog it mentions that Toyah was ‘disfigured’.

Lots of locals commenting on that link Acidtear very insightful read. BF worked close by, if she visited him at work it could be someone who was familiar with her via his workplace?

I believe that is artistic license - the words used in MSM were "violent" and "visual" injuries (which you could easily assume are disfiguring if she was killed with a knife or rock)

Her sister used the word vile in sm.

i havent seen any recent police requests for info from the public, maybe they already have a suspect?

No warnings to young women that a mad murderer is still on the loose.
