If our cops have DNA then, it might not be tomorrow but one day either the murderer or a member of his family will slip up with the law and then he’s gooone.
That’s no resolve for Toyah’s family & and friends but technology and time will get this/these low life bastards.
I really hope there is a breakthrough soon as this turd does not deserve any freedom on our streets.
TGY, there are very large areas of land around this area under the Wet Tropic Management Authority. Wangetti is just a small part of it. So not out of the ordinary for up there. This is extremely telling! Please read.

I wonder if any changes have been made since 2000.
Wangetti Beach appears to have a history.
yes, some creep thinking theyre in with a chance because she was friendly or smiled at them!I was thinking too of that poor girl who was murdered by the school cleaner. Maybe she had someone like that who heard her saying she was going to the beach. She looked like a friendly girl, so maybe wasn’t careful on who she told what to or who overheard. Infuriating to think someone/s walking around free right now.
It's now 23 days and counting.
By now the investigators have asked the 'hard' questions of many people. They've looked at the reactions and body language. They have given everyone they have encountered that cold hard stare that detectives seem to possess.
Alibis have been checked out.
Do they have DNA? If they do have how long does it take in Australia for any results to come back from the lab?
So 23 days after this dreadful homicide and the police haven't nominated a POI (Person Of Interest),
If this is a crime of opportunity and carried out by a stranger to Toyah it is going to be difficult to solve.
More so if the perpetrator is 'clean' with no information in any data base.
What was your idea about this TGY? Might Toyah have confronted someone being "environmentally inappropriate"? Someone who perhaps had a chainsaw? This is extremely telling! Please read.

Well that’s what I wonder with those guys with the flat tyre and all in a flap to catch up with their mate’s car. Maybe one of them hit her by accident and they all freaked out??Paddock bashing, quad biking, maybe bogans in general.
Maybe some idiot drove over a sand hill and hit Toyah.
Dunno I wish I knew JLZ, just sleuthing anything in general.
LE seems reasonably sure it was sexually motivated (found unclothed or there was obvious signs of rape). They also got that DNA from somewhere, it is doubtful a hit and run would have dragged her into the treeline.Well that’s what I wonder with those guys with the flat tyre and all in a flap to catch up with their mate’s car. if she was assausted higher up in the dunes/trees it would be much easier to leave her there rather than risk being seen dragging her into the sea, especially as it probably all happened in daylight?LE seems reasonably sure it was sexually motivated (found unclothed or there was obvious signs of rape). Which brings me to noodling over why this perp didn't put her in the sea? Its like he wanted her to be found.

Yes, and dragging her into the sea might not clear all the DNA anyway and he would have had to drag her out a long way and she would have just been washed back up. He might have also just fled without anything rational going on in his head. Would make a good PHD thesis - what goes on in the heads of murderers just after the deed?if she was assausted higher up in the dunes/trees it would be much easier to leave her there rather than risk being seen dragging her into the sea, especially as it probably all happened in daylight?
