True, but, it’s whatever took hold of them that claimed their lives, major depression, insomnia, eating poorly, paranoia, severe anxiety, past trauma, mood disorder etc. They’re unable to make simple decisions, it’s all too difficult and hopeless.
The robodebt had the same result on those young and similarly affected, they’ve got no more fight left.

This could mean several things:

Conversion
Depiction of Jesus, acknowledged as a prophet by some Muslims

How about a token of protection given to the sisters by someone who cared about them -- someone from the refugee agency, from the school, from the previous or current neighborhood, the convenience store even? Seems that several people knew the sisters were fearful, could someone have offered their own favorite way of coping with fears?

On the Google street panorama next to their flat, there is something that looks like a church. They might have walked there once, out of loneliness, and did not return back, ever. It is possible, but even this is a stretch. JMO

Not to be vulgar, but it sounds like the bodies were not at all in good shape. You couldn't do any of the traditional rituals.

They are past any traditional rituals. It would be nice if they are buried because it is the Muslim’s way, but maybe, cremation is the only option at this stage. ((

If this truly IS a suicide, how tragic as it likely could have been avoided.

I said at the beginning when we learned that they owed, why didn't they sell their BMW to help pay down their debt? Unless they didn't own the BMW outright? Assuming the car cannot be sold to cover the debt unless they owned it.

I'm having a hard time believing they committed suicide with bleach but I guess we will find out officially soon enough.

At the end of this DT article it says that the NSW Coroner’s court said a burial can be arranged from a deceased person’s finances, but if there is no money to do that, a state funded burial can be arranged.

It is stated right after the piece about there being no plans to fly the girls home.

When I look up the terms of a "destitute funeral" (as it is called in NSW) it does state it may be a burial or a cremation, but it states that cremation is the preferred way - as long as there are no objections and the relatives agree in writing.

Really sad for these two girls. There was never going to be a “good” reason for their deaths but suicide really tragic. Agree with all of you thinking it was likely a combination of circumstances that led them here, if in fact suicide is confirmed. Rest In Peace girls.

Can someone remind me please - what is the proof that no-one entered the women's property, ie by invitation or coercion or force, killed them and then left?

The crosses got me thinking. What if someone called around on the pretext of being a religious person like the jehovas witnesses type people do? or even a delivery person? or a work person?

I appreciate this but in the circumstances they have been found dead in this manner then it's highly likely they were murdered by someone they let inside voluntarily or who pushed their way in. No signs of forced entry means the door wasn't smashed in. It doesn't mean a fake caller couldn't have pushed their way in very violently. Also they would have voluntarily let someone they knew in as I imagine they were compliant to landlord requests or maintenance issues.

They had a small, but albeit, nice apartment that they were paying out almost $2000/month for. They had a car that they either owned or leased. Again not cheap.

If they didn’t go to work or go anywhere why did they get a car? Now they need gas money.

They ordered in food which gets costly. Why didn’t they cook for themselves?

They didn’t work. Why not? How did they envision their future?

Where was the money coming from, and if it was coming from family in Saudi Arabia, what happened? Why was their Bank Account dwindling? Did someone find out that a family member was bankrolling the girls and put a stop to it?

Honestly, I think the sisters knew it was over for them. They had been found out and the tap got turned off.

They couldn’t go back. If they did, they would be killed.

No money, no life, no family, just incredible fear and worry.

I can believe they committed suicide.

I can believe anyone could take their own life bearing in mind the insane levels of stress and inhumanity we live in nowadays and I really feel for these young women.

However, the circumstances of being separately in their own bedrooms plus all the issues and worries they had is making me feel it's unlikely.

The building had a cctv so if someone was in the building walking around and knocking to people’s doors it would be seen and other people who live there would mention seeing someone suspicious or someone trying to get to their apartment under false premise.
People commit suicide in various ways and its hard to comprehend for anyone who hasn’t been there.
I still believe they commited suicide and nobody else was responsible.

Exactly, not paying rent and facing eviction is stressful for anyone but they didn’t have any help of family to step in and help out.
