Deb is no longer dating Tostee but spoke to him on Monday via Facebook after she saw his name splashed across the news.

'He is shocked and he is depressed,' she said.

After it was reported that he was back on Tinder on Monday, just four days after the 26-year-old's death, Deb said he was just trying to delete his profile which shows his face photo-shopped on to Michelangelo's Creation of Adam painting on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel,.

'He has no interest in having a date,' she said. 'I'm sure he's very embarrassed about his current Tinder profile,' she added.

She explained that although Tostee hasn't told her or the police his version of events, she believes Ms Wright was 'a swipe right' on Tinder who he took out and got drunk with.

The balcony is between 40 and 50 metres above a strip of pavement.

..... as police told Daily Mail Australia a post mortem has been completed on the body of the young woman.

'We have some preliminary results which we won't be releasing yet - we are still liaising with her family,' Regional Crime Squad commander Detective Superintendent Dave Hutchinson said.

Tostee's lawyer, Michael Purcell, said his client would not be making a statement to police in the forseeable future.

It's to do with the Tinder phone app. You swipe left on the person if you don't want to make contact, and swipe right if you do.

Someone told me that there was a little write-up in a local paper - but that the autopsy results had not been released yet. That was a month or so ago, maybe even more ... from memory.

'Voices were heard and noises were heard coming from the unit', Regional Crime Coordinator Detective Superintendent David Hutchinson told media.

'But the investigation at the moment is in the evidence gathering and information gathering stage, so we have numerous detectives working on the case - we are gathering a lot of information and we are interviewing a lot of people,' he told Radio NZ.

Following last weekend's interview with Mr Tostee, who is believed to have moved from the apartment to his parents' place, police seized CCTV footage from the apartment.

'Once we work our way through that process we'll sit down and determine the next direction for the investigation.'

Yes .. and could be a misguided or defensive interpretation. Evidently she is some kind of friend, if she is chatting with him on FB.

I honestly think after everything I have read that they may have been about to or were having sex on the balcony and he either pushed her off or she slipped off during the act. I am more inclined to believe he became extremely frustrated because she might have rejected his advances. Warriena was only quite small in stature and might have been easy to lift. He has tried to lift a girl up on his balcony before and he is into having sex on the balcony. It is entirely possible he tried to lift her up when they were making out as such...she screams and is not into it...he tries to convince her, goes to lift her again...she then screams for the second time...he tries again a third time, she really goes to push him away and say no and he just shoves her over because he was angry at being rejected.

Grabs a couple things out of the apartment and takes off. Most likely took his laptop with him to delete any incriminating evidence before police seize it - unless they already have. Goes to his parents and tells them a lie about what happened. They advise him to get a lawyer and then head off to the police station. I think that GT is without a doubt to blame.

There was definite arguing before the screams .. loud enough for people in the Tiki resort, about 100m away, to hear. And to hear above any sounds coming from the Gold Coast Highway, which runs right past the two buildings. Granted it was 2am-ish .. but cars are always travelling along that highway .. day and night, so I think the arguing was significantly loud.

Then those chilling screams .. first one .. then a second terrified one .. then a third one.

Waikato woman Delwyn Grooby, who said she was staying in the neighbouring Tiki apartment complex, was among those who reported hearing several screams and what sounded like an argument on the night of Ms Wright's death.

"There was fear in her second scream that made me feel sick and frightened for her," Ms Grooby said.

"In the silence that followed I prayed that someone had come to her rescue. When the third scream came I really can't explain how I felt."

I keep wondering if Warriena would have been pushing away a person who may have been holding her - if she was somehow teetering/being held at or above the balcony edge. Or would her instinct have been to grab onto that person tightly, so as not to drop over the edge? :dunno:
