I'm hoping that a lot of women come forth showing a precedence for violent/aggressive behaviour and that is used in court against him. I'm also hoping neighbours heard distinctive words in the argument so LE can piece together what was happening.

I am going to be ever-hopeful (naively so) because I can't even begin to imagine him just walking away from this - that thought makes me CRAZY!!!!:gaah:

I saw a flash photo of GT on channel 7 or 9 this morning. He had his hands clasped behind his head. I noticed marks on his inside right arm, possibly looked like scars. I can't find the pic. Anyone?

He has indeed got scars on his right forearm....but this photo is an old one, in my understanding.

Isis, re the loud voices.. last weekend my dd and her lovely bf were horsing around in the bungalow and I thought there was some kind of massive altercation going on - ran out in alarm and heard laughter mixed with the shouting. From the house, it sure didn't sound like they were having fun, but they were. That is a possibility.. and one I am only really considering since it was almost 2.30 am.. maybe they'd had a few drinks, a meal, w/e, and she was still there at that hour. Unless he flipped and had her trapped in there somehow, they might have had a relatively good night to that point, but with a few drinks in him GT got rough out on his beloved balcony.. as per his own admitted history with girls out there..

That the pic! Is that a hospital band or a nightclub pass/band. He's not in a hospital. What would make those marks, could they be bruises or has he cut himself twice? ITYK.

Looks like a watch band to me, that being the clip that's visible. I get marks like that when I stupidly burn myself getting things out of the oven. I somehow touch one of the shelves. I think they're burn marks.

Police said Tostee was being processed at Surfers Paradise police station after being arrested at his parents home at Carrara this morning by homicide detectives.

He has since been taken to the Southport watch house.

Tostee has maintained his silence and refused to answer any questions.

He has retained top criminal law firm Potts Lawyers who are with him at the station.

edited to say NZ Herald were only reported taken into custody, at that stage they did not say he had been arrested.

The 28-year-old is currently being questioned by detectives. He is yet to be charged.

Police released a statement saying their investigation was still ongoing.

“A 28-year-old man is currently assisting police with their enquiries into the sudden death of a 26-year-old woman at Surfers Paradise high-rise apartment complex on August 8,’’ the statement said.
