Welcome Back Trooper!

Do you know, on top of that awful presidential debate, I went and popped my sleep aid (it's 11pm here) right before they announced a verdict and all the other drama, and now I'll be snoring or worse, posting gibberish on here as we wait. Awful timing. Pizzed.
(And apologies if I do post)

How is a custodial sentence for drink driving, related to the murderous intent attempting to be proved in thsi case? It isn't. The offence and circumstances are entirely different, however you are trying to link them.

He went to jail for wilful behaviour. This case is about an accident, unforseen circumstances, where multiple people behaving wrongly. Understand now? Your claim about being given chances , is therefor invalid.

BBM.

That's certainly up for debate, or there wouldn't be a trial in the first place.

either way the wind blows, this is one hell of a legal bill for Mr Tostee. . And for what?.. unless he actually loaned the money to Gabe , .. which any normal business man would do, if he intends to remain successful, .. getting Gabe to pay it back, you can see the problem there, already.

Gabe, or Eric Thompson as he legally is named now, ( the police get notification if an offender changes their name, so it's not as if Gabe can actually become some one else, only in his imagination, the police across AU merely add the name Eric Thompson to Gabe Tostee's charges and convictions and carry on) might go thru the process of changing his name yet again.... . It is indicative, though, that Gabe wants to escape his self produced notoriety though by whatever means possible.. .

I found that ambiguous. I don't know whether to take it that they have reached a verdict, or to read that as the verdict thing was a false alarm. Probably just weak from hunger hanging on here, before.
I read it as it's a big false alarm.

Just realised I've been holding my breath waiting. Hope we know one way or the other soon.

Being forced to stay home with the flu has had its benefits for me as I get to be here over the past few days with you all at this time.

Paint thinner is used to make moonshine, which was served to her in the guise of vodka.

Is there a link to the toxicology report available? I'd love to read it. Thanks!
I think you mean acetone? Paint thinnner is nto quite acetone but I get your point.
There is no link of course to everything in the world, but the BAC result is common knowledge. No other results have been publicised from it, so one concludes that no drugs existed in her body, or else they werent tested for.

Remember when GBC was on trial and a juror looked up something online - I think it was instructions for interpreting evidence - and Justice Byrne gave them a good old talking to, but they were still able to go ahead. I just don't see how an instagram post could negate all those days of deliberations.
yes, a juror publishing opinions could just be given a slap, and allowed to continue. That does not impinge or affect the court process and its participants,

However a juror, being influenced by taking in info from external to the court, contrary to directions, is grounds for dismissal.

I do not think posting to Instagram will necessarily compromise the trial. First they will have to debate the issue.

I didn't say doors...
doors are part of a car, but evasion of my question is noted, thus your original comment does not hold up to scrutiny.

Will documentation be published after the verdict? I'd love to know what was tested for and what wasn't.

A guilty verdict today would be a great birthday surprise. That or if 'legally' found 'Not Guilty' there is a trip on the concrete footpath on the way out.
And a steaming pile of poo to catch his faceplant. (I mean if we are wishing...)

..and Happy Birthday..
