He had plenty of time to inflict those wounds prior to his interview with police IMO. I'm hoping his DNA isn't under Rrie's nails.

This is reminding me more and more of the Baden-Clay murder.
1) Consistence with fingernails scratches.
2) Warriena's body was found immediately whereas the DNA under Allison's fingernails was too old.

Both women were left after a high drop.

Maybe I'm missing something .... MSM clearly said that both defence and prosecution were relying on the recording for evidence. Why does anyone think it will be excluded? Both sides want it in.

As Alioop said, they will just make sure that they have a jury that hasn't listened to it and formed an opinion.

Speaking for myself, I find the "leak" of the recording extremely weird... as a key piece of evidence, it would be held close by police. So who released it, and why? I thought Tostee himself, perhaps, or someone close to him. And the only reason I can think of is to get it excluded.

Ofc it could have just been Tostee being mental and thinking his "poor me" blah would help him somehow.. maybe it was part of him needing to air "his side". Backfire much.

.. dem 'pillars.

I find it of vast interest that the medical examiner thought some wounds were self-inflicted. I hope he takes the stand with the reasons why... I'm confident the autopsy/forensic evidence has a lot more to say than we presently know.

Ok, thanks.

I personally think that Tostee had the recording put out there for all to hear ... at the same time that he posted his 'explanation' on the bb forum ... so that we could all clearly see how innocent he was of any wrong-doing.

Got a pretty strong feeling that is what police will discover, and why O'Gorman was so quiet about it all (which is probably my biggest indicator).

why did GT want Rrie to leave without her belongings? What was he going to do with them and were they still in the apartment when police arrived?
Wouldnt you say here is your bag, etc and here is the door leave? see ya later.
The other thing is: Male states — I do need a sample of DNA. What the??
so many questions.

2.16.30am: Male states I thought that you were just playing around but I am (expletive) sick of this (expletive). You’re a god damn psycho. I am going to let you go. I am going to walk you out of this apartment just the way you are. You are not going to collect any of your belongings you are just going to walk out and I am going to slam the door on you, do you understand? If you try and pull anything. I’ll knock you out, I’ll knock you the (expletive) out. Do you understand? Do you understand? Do you understand?

^ But he doesn't let her go... he then screams at her repeatedly to "get up" (clearly she could not, or was afraid to) and the next second, he's manhandling her out the balcony door.

I do not believe for one stone cold second that he could NOT have tossed her out the front door -- and his excuse for not doing so is damn pitiful, as well as contradicted by the sound of the lock turning on the tape.

I reckon by that stage he was too excited by the way things were playing out, and letting her go was the last thing on his mind.

You guys rock.

Just sayin.

Oh, I wasn't trying to minimise, trust me.

It's all good Ausgirl, I get what you are saying but I just don't want him to be able to find a single spot of weakness or a get out of jail free card or try to get sympathy in any way. He is a rotten murderer and deserves all that is coming to him. I don't want to put him up on a pedestal and say he is the worst of the worst because I agree with you that he is not in terms of the whole gamut of murderers out there - he isn't a cannibal or did not dismember her, etc. He is a vile and disgusting human being that due to his extreme narcissism will never really get what we are saying anyway. He just doesn't get it, just doesn't get it at all. :scared:

This part is frightening. Pushing the power. Mental and emotional violence at its worst.

Just imagine. A girl from another country threatened to be on the street without her phone, passport and possibly naked.

We need Our darling IsisGoddessrising to tell us what a mental state this man is in.
This is heartbreaking.

I am having one of those moments ...
Does anyone remember where GT says "My grandfather just died, and I have never felt so sad", or something equivalent?
I remember reading it in a transcript in MSM (but now can't find it) I don't recall hearing it in the version of the recording which we have heard.
I know someone mentioned up thread about GT's mother being away for that very reason.
I am wondering if this death in the family is the reason that death was a theme in G and W's conversations, and a major contributor to G's emotional lability, and his father's weary flat demeanour.

I am truly sorry about the death of his Grandpa. I do remember reading about that as the reason his mother was out of town, to attend the funeral.

1:05:20 of the recording
Can anyone pick up what is said by Tostee.
??? i Phone 5.
1:05:42 - a whistle from Tostee
1:05:51 - Tostee -
Cleutus bob
I beat anorexia
What the hell is this ****?

This is IMO when he may have got her phone.

Very soon after that he asks "Whats the biggest d**k you have been with"
I just had a listen on Audacity and I think he says - 'Ohhh, there's f___ iPhone 5'?

I haven't listened to the recording for a few days and listening to his voice again is making my stomach churn. ugh

Can you please provide links to substantiate your claim of people getting banned from nightclubs for using them as pickup joints and not buying alcohol, thanks. And that GT was banned for this reason (there are many links in this thread referencing why he was really banned so I won't link them again). I've never heard of someone being banned from a club because they used it as a pickup joint, even without buying alcohol! Lololol

BBM (Bolded by me) Finally I agree with you! Correct, GT must have exhibited exceedingly revolting and disgusting behavior in order to be banned from those nightclubs, yikes!! Especially given, as you say, the "meat-market" atmosphere of nightclubs that is accepted. Perhaps he was attempting to woo them with pre-coital talks of tossing them from his balcony?

I have never, ever in all my years going out on the town and still to this day, been asked to leave a club because I was not buying alcohol. I just don't get it, just don't get it at all.

From Sin City and Vanity to Shooters, Gable Tostee was well-known in hospitality circles

Posts by entertainment venue owners and workers suggested Mr Tostee had been banned from several Surfers Paradise venues.

He even posted about the bans himself in 2012, writing on a Vanity Nightclub event page that he could not attend.

“Banned from here for no apparent reason,” he wrote.

“Main bouncer out the front has something against me.”

I don't get it either, tarjessi. You can buy nothing, or water, or soft drinks ... as long as you are not causing trouble, no problems. In fact they tend to watch you if you are buying a lot of alcohol, because that is where their potential liability can come into play (serving drunk patrons who get involved in fatalities).

And they have to provide water free or at a reasonable cost (in 2nd link below).

The 1997 Chevron Hotel case sent a shockwave through the Queensland liquor industry when a Surfers Paradise hotel had to pay $125,000 damages to a heavy drinking regular who was hit by a car while waiting at a bus stop across the highway from the hotel.

Gable Tostee, 28, is a regular on the Gold Coast's party strip and often visited nightclubs such as Crazy Horse, Cocktails, Club Liv, Bourbon Bar, Players, Alive, Vanity and Sin City.

Mr Tostee was barred from Vanity and Sin City after staff decided they did not like his behaviour.

‘He was just creepy,’ Sin City manager Ty Davidson said.

‘He was here all the time. Everyone along here knows him. Even after he was banned, he’d come on nights when the bouncer didn’t know him and try and get back in.’

A bouncer at one of the clubs along the strip told Daily Mail Australia Mr Tostee would obsessively film events with his phone and in one case a violent incident outside a club until he was told to leave.

He entered a ‘Mr Right’ male model search competition at Shooters three years ago and was banned from Vanity in 2012, and from Sin City some time after that.

Surely it can't even be legal to require someone to drink alcohol in their establishment? What if you don't drink because you are an alcoholic? What if you are on medication that specifies you cannot drink? What if it is against your religion to drink? What if you just don't drink, period?

We are supposed to believe that he was banned for drinking water all night when it has been stated he has an alcohol problem - What the?? How much do they/he think we will believe SMH

ETA - In many establishments the "designated driver" is given free soft drinks, so not drinking alcohol would never be a problem.
