I assume the telescope was for spying on other people. Couldn't see too many stars, not with all that city light pollution.

Having listened to the tape and reading the transcript many times, it's painfully obvious that Tostee was role playing for his secret little tape recorder. Time and time again he intimates that Warriena was hurting him with his "Ow, ow"...etc. Constantly referring to her as being violent is the main theme of the recording. He continually tries to get that across for the end listener of this tape. He even told his daddy that Warriena was beating him up... I wonder how many times he rehearsed this before he actually had the guts to put it into!

Also the number of times he talks about balconies and death.. I haven't counted, but it seemed to be frequent. This certainly provides further indication of what Gable was thinking about and perhaps planning.

And as for the defence argument of Gable having the right to lock Warriena on the balcony... He also had the right to escort her out the front door as opposed to the balcony door. Certainly that's where she ASKED to go. "Let me go home".
No.... Let's lock the drunk (fact), fearful (as voice certainly suggests) girl on a balcony.

In an Australian article they write "
He (defence lawyer) said Mr Tostee only put Ms Wright onto the balcony, after he tried and failed to make her leave his apartment."
What evidence was there that he tried to make her leave???

There is no way he tried to make Warriena leave. Despite her drunken behaviour, he was still trying to get her to stay, and was still plying her with drinks. There are parts in the recording that clearly show that, which I am sure the prosecution will highlight.

In the recording he is wanting her to stay the night, actually.

It'd be interesting to see if the roles were reversed and the male was being violent with the female, then all the feminists would be in uproar over the drunken violence towards women etc. If the male was drunk and beating up the female because he was drunk, then again, there would be hell to pay for the male, cant control his alchohol, beating up on a woman. But when I read whats written here, I read excuses for the female to be violent towards a male. Please tell me when its appropriate to go back to someones apartment and be violent towards them, threaten them etc. (you might say because he's giving her alcohol) I don't read about him forcing the alcohol down her throat, shes an adult, has willingly gone back to his apartment and willingly drunk alcohol and is willingly being violent towards someone (as per the records). How would those on WS take it if Tostee had have been a female too, which side would you have taken then? (poses an interesting thought) Hey, Tostee maybe an *******, made bad decisions or whatever, but from what I've read from the posters from WS here, it to me looks allot like double standards. We should start a poll who thinks it's ok for a woman to be violent to a male?

There is so much wrong with this statement I can't help thinking it's argument bait... but hokay, mate, I'll bite. Let's reverse the genders then:

* The woman is a foot taller than the man. The woman is at least TWICE the man's body weight.

*The woman urges the man to drink her nasty bathtub vodka until the man's blood alcohol skyrockets.

* This HUGE woman, despite the man saying he wants to leave several times, INSISTS the man stay,

*After the man gets mouthy with the grog SHE has been pouring him, the woman insists he stay rather than calling him a cab home.

*After the man throws some little pebbles at the woman, she body slams him and won't let him up from under her bulky self, and proceeds to choke him.

*The woman, after intoxicating and terrorising this poor little bloke with threats on his life, shuts him out on a balcony and he dies.

Who'd be sticking up for her? Nobody with a lick of sense.

Argument unvalid.

I'm not victim blaming, its evidence in court or cant we talk about evidence, do we have to put a spin on the facts.

http://www.abc.net.au/news/2016-10-...recording-with-warriena-wright-played/7919842

Here aresome quots from todays evidence given in court.

Some time later, Ms Wright is heard hitting Tostee, who yells out in pain and says "that's enough".

When she cannot find her phone, she threatens to call police and yells: "I will f***ing destroy your jaw. It's not f***ing funny."

Tostee says: "I didn't say you have to leave, I just said stop beating me up."

"I don't deserve this s*** alright. I'm a nice f***ing guy … calm down, please," he says.
"You were beating me up for no reason. You thought it was funny. It's not.

This is evidence, not victim blaming or adding femanist spin to the case.

He may have been defending himself, when strangling her etc

BBM: Then open the front door, pick Warriena's little self up, put her outside the front door, and close the front door. Then if the shenanigans continue, call the local police. Or leave it for your neighbours to make the call.
He actually denied her liberties by imprisoning her on his balcony.

Wasnt talking about your boys. I was talking about posters here thinking its ok for women to be violent towards men, or making excuses for women to be violent towards men.

so far, your quest to promote the premise of women being violent to men has been persistent and without variation. I wonder if your goal might be reached more comprehensively, if you chose other grounds to tilt at?... so far, you've battled on over the bodies of 3 females, one a child, even, thereby reducing your argument absurdum even further, you have promoted your idea on the Alison Baden-Clay case, the Tia Palmer case ( a female child) , and now this, Warriena, , and more , probably, one could look it up, but the theme never wavers, regardless of the circumstances, the situation, or the murder itself, it appears to you that men are being victimised, yet, all of these women are dead. They died horribly. The components of extreme cruelty in their deaths seem to have no resonance , in the pursuit to portray their killers as victims..

What is needed for you is to actually find a forum whereby a mans body, murdered by a woman is the focus . And Good Luck with your search for that circumstance. This is so obviously the wrong forum for the position that you are promoting .

The 30-year-old displayed no emotion in the dock of the Brisbane Supreme Court on Monday, as the audio of him and Ms Wright was played for the jury.
To the background sounds of James Blunt and Kanye West, among others, Tostee is heard to profess an apparently healthy self-confidence, when Ms Wright compliments his good-looking feet.
“I know, everything’s good looking with me,” he tells her. :puke:

I'm in and out, Amee, but I'll post while I can.

Warriena is talking about UK guys, and how they have good humour. Tostee doesn't agree.
Tostee says "hey!" and "no violence". Now he says "that's gross - what are you doing?" and laughs.
They "cheers" each other. Warriena is slurring her words. Lots of banging noises.
Warriena says: "can you tell my sister that I'm not a douche?". He says of course, as long as you stop beating me up.
Tostee asks Warriena again if she is hungry. She is whispering something to him about "Sam". He asks who Sam is, what is she talking about?
Tostee calls her a wuss. "I'm a wuss?" she says. "Do you want to see what a wuss looks like?" He is trying to get her to eat something.
