moving fast and no cross examination for the aural witness, the ones who heard the screaming.. that tells us heaps about which way the defence is heading.. who they don't cross examine will be the key. So Gabe and his barrister are not worried about the sounds any witness heard, from any direction , or time, at this point, as far as I can tell.
