Yes agreed .. at the time of this event , by now extreme duress & blink drunk, not eating & adrenaline overload the decision making by ww could have been fatal , would be interesting to know what her alc level was that was much higher than the eye fluid test , that was ruled out due to contamination . Ie more than the eye fluid test which was written in news links . I guess that from 2am - 2:20 she became intoxicated rapidly after the vodka on the rocks . Listening to those moments right after he exits the balcony, I am pretty sure he did not lock the door right away. I can hear it shut, and around the time Warriena starts faintly screaming, I hear a sound very much like a lock turning. More screams, the neighbour screams too, I think, .. silence.. and THAT is when he starts hyperventilating.

The 'unscrewing ' sounds happen about 4 mins later and are distinctly metallic. It's a rapid sound, like it's being undone quickly, not done up. Not a small item, something with substance. At the ends of that, a couple 'clanks' like something coming apart. Then faint sirens.. then what I suppose is the front door, and then the elevator bings.

Re "Manchester" - Tostee says this, trying to make sense of what W is saying.. in her NZ accent, "Winchester" sounds like "Wunchester".

Yes T , it does sounds like something in or affecting her mouth while trying to talk , and I heard a lip smack/saliva suck noise . & even perhaps the sort of unusual voicing hindrances from her head down feet up . Jmo

Her mouth is definitely obstructed.

What strikes me there, when she calls him a "sexist" is that she clearly doesn't 'get' that the mood of their rough play has changed. Prior, they were mucking about, but in these moments it dawns on her that he is being serious and that something very bad is happening.
