Do you think you could stand or sit on it well when you were three times over the limit?

Absolutely not, that's why it was a tragic decision for her to make.

It sounds like the jury is onto Tostee.

Yes, so not lifted her up and carried to the balcony at all. The complete opposite.

Yeah, they were on the balcony, probably right at the railing which is where most people tend to stand when they are on a balcony. He's picked her up with what he says was the intention to carry her inside, she has freaked out, left and gone so far as to delete him from both fb and tinder. Seems pretty extreme if he was simply picking her up to take her inside. Makes me wonder if he was joking around about throwing her off and she freaked. It's a shame that girl hasn't come forward.
If someone picked me up near a railing of a balcony that high I'd probably throat punch them.

Perhaps W thought she was Lara Croft (Tomb Raider) and could shimmy across to the next apartment balcony to ask for help?
Holt also bought up a movie character...spiderman. Such bad taste. imo

Ok, so the lesson here is; be sure to record the night's activities and post online via social media asap. This guarantees that the recording will not be used as evidence in court.

I disagree with the Judge that to remove her to the balcony is to remove her from the home, but really it amounts to the same thing as if the balcony was not part of his home.

How the hell is removing someone to a balcony 14 floors up considered removing them from your home? They are still trapped with nowhere to go but back INTO the home or off the edge. O_o

It's my opinion that we will see a verdict fairly quickly on the basis of these 2 questions and answers. Nothing scientific, just a gut feeling.

Thanks for the Twitter updates BTW, run off my feet today and have only got a brief chance to glance at the thread, the updates are invaluable :)

The judge said the jury's second question regarded whether removing someone from a balcony constituted removal from a property, Justice John Byrne said the answer was "yes." He has now dismissed the jury to resume deliberations.

The judge said the jury had asked when does a person behaving in a disorderly manner start? He told the court and jury the answer was it does not matter, if the jury is satisfied reasonable force was used to remove a disorderly person then it must find the accused not guilty of both murder and manslaughter.

Lawyers and the judge have returned to Brisbane Supreme Court - but not for a verdict yet, they are considering a note from the jury.

WTF.. HOW is a balcony on the 14th floor NOT a part of the home?

How could anyone leave (safely) EXCEPT by walking through the rest of the house TO THE ONLY SAFE EXIT? This is insane.
