And if it did come to that, could the ODPP run their prosecution any differently, for instance bringing in expert analysis of the recording?
Statement and document analysts would have an absolute field day with this guy.

To a degree yes, but it would be improper to introduce any evidence that ran counter to the evidence presented during this trial. I doubt you'd see any material differences though, the Crown would have canvassed all possibilities prior to the commencement of this trial, knowing that their case was something less than airtight.

Okay, thanks, JCB. "Something less than airtight," lol. I think you commented a way back that even if he was convicted this time around he'd get off on appeal, and I have to agree with that.

Strange strange, or Strangeworld strange...

Well, IMO I think there are a majority who believe he is guilty but the struggle is with the instructions of the judge (nothing against the judge). You can't make the evidence fit the law and that is the reality we live in.

IMO I think/hope the majority believe guilty for murder. I was part of a hung jury on a murder trial. It took the next jury 3 hours to agree on a guilty verdict. IMO it is obvious that at least one person is not prepared for him to get away with murder. He should stop looking so smug.

I don't see the relevance of that to this case.

I just took it as a bit of a tongue in cheek. I didn't read it as any suggestion it's relevant to the case. It's funny though :giggle:

OK you guys probably would of seen this picture already, but, does anyone know what that black disk shaped item is on the TV unit? That's not the end off a weight is it? Sorry just my first time seeing this picture or from this angle. Another thing, that sun bed does look very close to the rail.
