in his posts on fb he says william is missing behind his place, he was leaving his porch light on for him, so his property must either back onto the bush search area or williams grandmothers?

The houses through the bush surrounding GM's home are surprisingly close and I'm noticing homes dotted in the bush closer to the cemetery.
I live in a similar estate on 1 acre blocks and we all are very close and back onto each other.

'Catching Milat' and other crimes I've noticed if the police can't immediately arrest a POI they will find something/anything to get them into custody. They originally got Milat on a couple of illegal guns just to get him into custody and the rest is history and the same for Spedding and they certainly found the mother load!

'Something/anything' is usually a precursor to the crime the police originally wanted them for.

Does anyone here have any expertise on Passports? How hard or should I say easy would it be to transport a child to a country like Manilla/Phillipines..... Not having a passport myself and having never travelled overseas I am curious.

A passport simply contains a picture of the person.... If you were travelling with a child...the child's passport I would assume has a picture of the child..yes???

For those who have travelled with very young children...how thorough do they check children's passports??? Do you need to supply a birth certificate or is that part of the process when obtaining a passport in the first instance???

Homicide Squad commander Det Sup Mick Willing said the sex abuse ring and the theory William could still be alive six months after he went missing had transformed their investigation: “From the moment the paedophile ring was discovered this has become a very fast-paced investigation which is progressing rapidly. That’s all I can say at this point.
“We are pursuing many, many lines of inquiry but what I can say is that there is a team of detectives working very hard. This is a very fast-paced moving inquiry.

On Friday, Detective Inspector, Jubelin said his team was "still chipping away" at finding the three-year-old.
He added there was "nothing to report, just doing what we do".

Just over a month ago it was a fast paced moving inquiry and pursuing many many lines of inquiry including historical charges of the only declared poi.
Now the prestigious Det Jubelin - nah nothing to report, just doing what we do, just chippin away.
IMO Det Jubelin are carefully chosen.

Does it feel like there is something around the corner?

It would be very difficult for a person other than a parent or legal guardian to apply for & get a child's passport.

Also, when travelling, children's passports are usually very carefully checked.

I personally wouldn't assume anything in this case. As an aside, in earlier threads, some different people referred to a book called Missing 411 by David Paulides about his research into people going missing in the forest or bush and how often someone not long afterwards goes missing in similar locations as well except the other side of the state or country. After WT went missing, a woman called Gaida Coote went missing from the St Ives wildflower garden in early December 2014. The garden leads onto many bushtracks into Karingai Chase which is the bushland that alot of houses in Killara back onto. Having been an old local it stood out to me as an interesting coincidence and I thought I would just note it.
This is also a sad case but I don't see any reason to link it with a child abduction.

Hi all, another Aussie here (although not from that part of NSW). I have been reading this thread for a while but only just worked out how to join. Also wasnt really sure if I had much to offer. I have (like many of you) read everything online there is to read and I remember the photos of the van with the 'unfortunate' lettering but now, like you, cant find any of them. I have read as much as I can find online about this story. The van and the now missing pics of it online to me seems significant. Is the van of more interest than the actual owner of the van because his pics are certainly still readily available online? Could someone else drive that van too? (Im trying to keep within the TOS here).

Can anyone recall the name of the website BS used for the 'someone woke up today.......' was it a forum related to children?.

I feel this is very strange for a 63 year old man to be on such a site. To me it sounds a cryptic message.

Are these pond life using these type sites as contact for their ring.

It is very easy to get passports in third world countries all they need is a photo and that can be arranged from a contact here. Anything is available for a price in South East Asia, a $100 would cover it.

I know this because I live in these countries. This pond life is in my space 24/7.

I think it was the mamamia site. Was probably a post that that getting shared and reshared on Facebook. Unfortunately we can no longer see his page to see if it was a repost from a friend's page : /

The reason the images of the van went missing was because they wre apparently digitally altered by a newspaper. So the the van still has the "S" on it, it just didn't appear in that one particular photo.

http://mumbrella.com.au/daily-telegraph-s-peddo-spedding-279146

so I'd say its been removed for this reason.

News Corp’s Sydney tabloid The Daily Telegraph has insisted it did not*alter a photograph featured on its front page this morning, despite the printed image appearing to be missing the faint outline of an ‘S’ which can be seen in a version on its website.

I think it was possibly vandalised by someone who thinks he is guilty. The name Speddo is just too uncanny.

I got passports for my kids this year. I needed the birth certificate, photos, my own and partners birth certificates and both our signatures on the form. Also needed someone who had known the kids for a period of time (I think 5 years) to sign the photo and the form saying they were who I said they were. I paid extra to get the express service and the passports were done in about 4 or 5 days. I was very surprised how quickly I got them but we all have the same surname so perhaps that makes it simple?? I imagine there are probably ways you can get around this....say having all the correct docs but using a different photo (you can get anyone to sign the doc I suppose). However I note that many countries now photograph you as you enter. Some do retina photos and fingerprint you too (this certainly happened to us in the states).

Interesting...given Orange NSW is almost half way between Wellington and Bathurst... and the name Elliott rings some bells...

http://www.theage.com.au/articles/2007/12/16/1197740090752.html

"Coonabarabran truck driver, Chris Trindall, 29, faced Tamworth Court. He was refused bail and will reappear today charged with disseminating and producing child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬"

From memory I think BS had lived in Coonabarabran? Things might be getting a bit hotter for BS if his "old hunting grounds" are investigated.

the article in The Age is from 2007 though....

He did indeed live in Coonabarabran (and Wellington) prior to moving to the coast 4 years ago. Seems like this ring has swallowed up most parts of country NSW!
