I am not connected in any way to any of the families involved in this heartbreaking situation, merely a member of this forum and a resident of Australia, not trying to stop anyone from sharing their thoughts or opinions, just having my opinion like everyone else.
We still need to follow the laws regarding harassment of people involved, whether we like it or not and I really can't see any connection to WT in any of this recent discussion, unless we are told more, I am left wondering about what other persons of interest there are and also, in the case of Daniel Morecombe, none of the POI's were identified until an arrest was made, to my recollection, so I am supposing the same is happening here but I do believe the police have more going on than BS.

I'm fairly sure handfuls of names were released in regards to Daniel Morcombe, according to my father who is a qld police officer. I will find a link later if I get time. Whether they were officially named as POI'S, I will need to confirm. But names were definitely released.

You are taking my comment out of context, I didn't say what you are suggesting.

It takes someone with a lot of nerve to just enter a shop the day after he's been released. Most people would hide away knowing that their every move will be scrutinised by the press.

How do you hound someone on a sleuthing forum?

Ah ok sorry about that. Hounded out might mean something different over there ie may not be a literal thing

As said, to my recollection
The last thing I recall was that they all had numbers, P1, P2, etc but there were a lot of them.

My question is, was he named as a POI before the inquest? That article is not clear on that.
the Mako won't load for me.

I find it very telling that the document which is supposed to hang BS, i.e. the hospital records, was submitted by the defence in an 83 page document to the court as a part of his bail appeal, and upon reading that document the judge granted him bail, even though the prosecution states that the alternative suspect could not have done these assaults as he was in jail at the time. The judge said on granting bail that BS had shown cause. To my mind that shows, that no matter what the prosecution claim, there is reason to consider, contained in that document, that another suspect could be the perpetrator. The judge is not an idiot.

Sounds familiar?

"He, of all of them (33 PoIs), is the only one that we can positively out of his own admission place as being at the scene twice," he said.

"The other troubling thing is that he gave a version of events, which was that he went straight home then he realised his times were out and he changed his alibi. Why would you do that?"

"So thinking about those two times, can you tell his Honour why you think it's so funny that the police think you couldn't abduct and sexually assault and potentially murder Daniel Morcombe in a period of half an hour as we discussed this morning, or 40-50 minutes?

"You've managed to do it twice - abduct or certainly coerce a boy to somewhere else and rape the boy in a period well within half an hour."

Veering off topic here, but I remember Denise Morcombe describing how when Cowan entered the courtroom during the inquest (where the P numbers were used), they felt the evil in the room and just knew he was the one. I think they had such a close relationship with the police, they would have known the names of all the POIs. Plus the Morcombes weren't passive in the investigation for all those years - I admire that family so much.

Everything about him screamed guilty though - those facial scratches, the caterpillars, the affair, the mock anguish in the interviews. He gave sleuthers a lot to work with that's for sure.

Roundabouts, caterpillars, koppers logs and razors.

The most important thing is we learned later that the police were reading our WS site!.

Was it Aunty? Who actually posted re her woeful feeling Allison was near the Kholo Bridge. Days later Allison was found by the kayakers.

Yes....TGY...I think that poster really frightened themselves...poor thing...so genuine.

I hope if people on here are upset at the WS format they leave...its not worth being angry at the way things
are done here.

Do experts still need to be 'registered' ?

I think 'verified' is the term.

We sleuth only what's on MSM to make sure it's not rumour, so if a newspaper shows (S)peddo walking out of a corner shop or driving past a search site then it's open season for us.
If MS sees a Physic or Ol' Col speaks about a coffee docket on MSM we can go hell for leather. :)

Imagine if Webslueths had been around when Lindy Chamberlain was being investigated for Azaria's death. All the so called evidence of the blood spatter etc. And look how that turned out. Slueth away but remember anyone is innocent until proven guilty. Because if they are innocent they become a victim too.

Yes after such an epic case I remember watching the coroner's findings handed down on the ABC, it was such a quiet end to the whole affair, some thirty years later. The coroner extended her sympathies to the family for the loss of their little baby. I remember crying at the injustice of what they had endured.

Really think that's what's going on.... Seriously the guy stopped at the shop. This is getting ridiculous.

I said it was something I would do if I knew my electronic communications may be monitored and I wanted to send a "colleague" a message. Using "snail mail" nowadays to avoid being monitored is not out of the question. Communications on computer can be "forever" and brought up in court as evidence - but a letter can disappear with a match.
