I know the "creepy" house would have been searched but do you think the police would have paid more or less attention to it in the first hours if they thought it was empty and locked, would they have broken in to it, or thought if they couldn't get in William couldn't either.

Good question. I think they probably would have gone around to neighbouring houses asking questions as to if anyone saw anything suspicious?

I'm not that troubled by the fact that LE didn't release information about the cars until now. I think they have a fairly good idea of who the owners are, and are reminding the owners of this, all the while having the public think back as to where else they may have seen them. It reminds me of Sierra Lamar's case where they released a photo of the POI's car even though they already had him under constant surveillance. After all, in this case, they didn't release a plea to the public alongside the car information.. they just said they hoped the owners would come forward to explain why they were there. Maybe they've been interviewed and denied being there?

I agree in part. I think they have leads but need witnesses. Or they need the suspects to hear or their family to hear that they saw them.

Yeah, and if it's really the case that no license plates were ever captured on video, there truly is very little way to prove it was a specific person's car. Well.. in Heather Elvis's case, they also didn't get a license plate capture, BUT because of a very unique car part they were able to rule out every single make and model in the area except for that of the POIs who were driving it. If only this case could be so simple(ish), but it seems to be spanning so many different places in Australia. :( How long would it take someone to discover a particular car in say, a junkyard 100 miles away? (just an example, nothing like this has been suggested officially)

If the TVs were on the floor then maybe someone visiting TV on the floor person took an opportunity?
Whether they discovered WT in an opportune moment or preplanned abduction.
TV people moved out because they knew some heat was coming they didnt need even if they werent directly involved.

Mervin Bell child rapist found dead in Casaurina prison protective custody (MAX) today.

Hmm crabstick

Crime Seen and look at those times.
Cars seen at about 9:00 am parked in Benaroon Drive and wasn't that search from a tip-off about a car being seen.

Same car maybe?

That article is from when BS was caught driving by the land and water search near Bonny Hills around March. What is the 11:20 am though?

Yep I know krig
But the police would have known about all the cars back then, it would be assumed.

Wasn't it said the search was performed back then because a particular car was seen?

We all were guessing it may have been the the BS van.

Maybe it wasn't ...

I am really just thinking out loud ....

Don't mind me soso ha-ha, I'm lacking sleep [emoji1] I see what you mean now.
Yes I remember that now. Said had a solid lead. Did police ever give a description of the vehicle that was seen in that area? I can't recall. And is the Speddo van a 4WD? We do not have full size 4WD vans here, that's why I'm asking. Would still love to know If their other vehicles are 4WD.

Just because no. 48 wasn't on the market then doesn't mean people wouldn't have been looking at it. I have done that several times....a real estate agent tips you off that a house is coming on the market soon (probably because they have done a valuation on it) so you do a bit of a drive-by. If the house is vacant, I would get out and walk around and have a good look.

Can anyone remember reading they went to grandmas to help prepare the house for sale? I can't find the link.
I'm searching, no luck so far but I remember some article somewhere mentioned it.

Didn't they go visit Grandma because she hadn't been well, the house had been sold, and they were going to help her pack? Wish I'd taken more notes now!

Agreed, but do you know for sure it wasn't on the market? Just trying to verify that point as it was a very quick sale for the time it takes to sell a place in Kendall if it went on the market after WT disappeared. Actually, applying what you said to the number 35 property, there is still reason for people to get out and look at that property as well. So there is reason for those vehicles to be parked in that particular place if they are looking at either of the properties. Police must surely know that.

Agree..and also quite feasible that there would be two cars....you might meet your partner, or a family member to look at a house. Also quite feasible if you weren't wandering too far from your car on a hot day...to leave your windows down.
However, by now, you would think if you were completely innocent, you would definitely remember by now and speak up. It has been mentioned that this could have been a crime of opportunity. What if that was the opportunity? Just looking at a house (whichever one) coming up on the market and a little boy appears....
I dont buy this scenario myself but it is a possibility. I wonder if the real estate has been asked if they sent anyone to have a look beforehand??

Bumping off of your post regarding the windows. [emoji1]

Here are the recorded temps from that day in Sydney, assuming Kendall wouldn't be much difference. Kind of on the cooler side in the morning for windows to be left down. But that may just be me, I'm always cold ;)

"It's important because we've actually had people go missing here in Mackay, and it's not just William or Jayde Kendall," she said.

"I'm sad this has taken a year to happen, but people are becoming aware of situations that aren't right."

She has encouraged residents to dress as their favourite superhero to remember three-year old William, as his favourite character was Spiderman.

Reading this I pictured in my mind thousands of Spidermen walking. How amazingly bittersweet that would be! William, is truly loved by so many.....
