What does that mean????

It is a para phrase of the paragraph.
Basically it is saying that BS was a member of a group and the police used CCTV images to show members so as to ID other members ... I guess.
I am assuming that questions may also have been asked by the police.

I wonder if any of these member could have been POI ?

Or where or where NOT they might have seen other people eg cafes? School assemblies? Driving in certain areas at certain times?

What does that mean???? We have never heard of witnesses who may have seen a perpetrator(s)... is that what this statement implies?

could it mean children who have been abused by some in this group?

Two grandparent support groups have also reportedly been looked at as part of investigations. Grandparents as Parents Again were interviewed by police a "long time ago" and don't have anything to do with person of interest Bill Spedding, the group's chaplain Alan Battishall told Fairfax Media. The Grandparent and Kinship Care Association has also reportedly come to the attention of investigators.

Youngberry says he believes Spedding is innocent and claims he has seen a document — a bank statement — proving he was at a cafe in Laurieton, and nowhere near Kendall, when young William was abducted.

“I have downloaded the receipt and (Spedding) has it in his hot little hand,” he adds

Could BS deliberately paid by card on that date (usually cash at other time?), just to provide himself a prove while he knew his accomplice is doing the abduction?

The two cars, which police say were kept secret for a year for “tactical reasons”, were parked across the road from William’s grandmother’s house on Benaroon Drive with their diver’s side windows down.

She said she noticed the cars while she was playing with William in the garden that morning and realised after he had vanished that they too were gone.

“I realised that night that William went missing that I had actually seen two cars,” she said.

“I raced down to the command van, because they’d set up a command centre in the backyard and I raced down there and said I’d remembered the two cars and I described the cars to them and all that sort of thing.

“Those cars were not here, they were not there when we were looking for him.”

She said she believed there was a reason the owners of the cars had not come forward and identified themselves to police.

“Either they’re involved, or they’ve seen what happened. And we just need them to come forward and say this is what we saw.,” she said.

maybe police should be suggesting persons to inform anonymously, with all the new publicity, billboards and walk for william etc the person who knows may be too scared now? if people are reassured their info will be confidential it may be less frightening to come forward?

The police have been saying all along that they can pass information on anonymously.

Let’s assume that the two cars were related to the abduction, but why would you need two cars?

One possibility is that one car is for use of following the dad’s car, ensuring he is not back before the abduction. The car that followed dad will contact the car waiting at the house, letting him know that dad was further away. Did dad felt any car following him?

Another possibility is that the perpetrator were planning to abduct both children, one child for one car, hoping both parents gone out, leaving both children with grandma. That sounds horrible.

But if he done that wouldn't mean he was part of a planned abduction?
If he had done that wouldn't he have just said to the police when initially interviewed Oh I was having coffee it will be on my card.
Not waited until his home was searched and have Colin download it.

Sorry, I am new to this but is there any evidence William made it to his grandma's? Any witnesses other than family?

I think the photo of him on the deck was time verified

The lady from No. 30 who stated she heard the children playing before she drove out must have been so close to those two cars. If she'd reversed out I'm sure she would have seen them in her rear vision mirror only metres away.

I don't think they are definitely a real estate agent I was saying it's a similar scenario what happened when I was in real estate. If it was an owner showing his vacant rental property then I imagine he would drive into his property unless it had tenants already in there.
I'm thinking of what circumstances two cars were there. It'll come to me.

Whose neighbours I wonder? Jones' neighbours or neighbours in Benaroon Drive?

Jones and any other sex offenders that came to police attention and have hopefully been charged and on bail or not and awaiting their sentence as well. imo
